Garrison-Nichols
Presley Helen Larson Garrison and Patrick Kelly Nichols exchanged vows in a ceremony Dec. 30, 2016, at 5:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Raleigh, with the Rev. Trey Davis officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Chris Garrison and Kim Larson of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of the late Milton Garrison, Elizabeth Lee, Helen Larson and the late Warren Larson. She is also the granddaughter of Ronald Lee and Noga Garrison.
Presley graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in biochemistry in the class of 2012. She is now in her last year of medical school at the Brody School of Medicine.
The groom is the son of Chuck and Susan Nichols of Raleigh, N.C., and the grandson of the late Charles and Frances Nichols, Patsy Kelly and the late Richard Kelly.
Patrick graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in history and communications in the class of 2012. He is now the video production specialist for the Friday Institute at North Carolina State University.
The bride was escorted by Chris Garrison and given in marriage by her parents.
Maggie McDonald was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Burcu Bozkurt, Becca Mann, Cate Coffee, Anna Starkey and Jerri Waller.
Charlie Nichols served as best man. Groomsmen were Madison Bullard, Gabe Parrish, Drew Rothenberg, David Rusher, Tom Rusher and Wade Snedecor. Ushers were Will Hartzell and Andrew Harrell.
Readings at the service were done by Leah Elliot and Philip Brown.
Jeremy Thompson was the organist.
The rehearsal dinner was held at Sitti Restaurant in Raleigh, N.C., followed by a welcome party at the City Club hosted by the parents of the bride and groom, Joe and Leah Devlin, Jim and Anna Schenck, Bill and Mary Catherine Sigmon, Joyce Fitzpatrick and Jay Stewart.
An engagement party was thrown in Goldsboro, N.C., at the Terrace Room in April 2016. It was hosted by Geoff and Lee Hulse, Jim and Adrienne Northington, Becky Mayo, John and Janet Peacock, Tom and Susan Brown, Gene and Judy Carpenter, Betty Kemp, Kate Larson, Laura Coffee, Kris Clark, Craig Weidemann, Alan and Cathy Hollowell, Mary Lane, Mike and Martie Saylors, Jamesie and Kathryn Spicer, Leon and Angela Stockton and Dave and Denise Tayloe.
An engagement party was thrown in Raleigh at the home of Matt and Anne Bullard and co-hosted by John and Mary Nash Rusher, Hayden and Cathy James, Dennis and Diane Ellis, Steve and Regina Brown and Todd and Nancy Hemphill.
