Casey Brooke Mitchell and Michael Hunter Chase exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Nov. 12, 2016, at 5 p.m. at Coker Memorial Church of LaGrange, with the Rev. William Meares officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Don Erie and Lori Quinn Mitchell of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Grover Elmore Mitchell and the late Lois Pittman Mitchell of Goldsboro and Louis Talmadge and Faye Norman Quinn and the late Edna Gregory Quinn of Goldsboro.

She is a 2015 graduate of East Carolina University with Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics secondary education. She is currently employed as a math teacher at Eastern Wayne High School.

The groom is the son of Michael Wayne and Sharon Stocks Chase of Snow Hill and the grandson of Evelyn Johnson Chase and the late Sidney Wayne Chase of Snow Hill and the late William Earl and Kay Mooring Stocks of Scuffleton.

He attended Lenoir Community College and Mount Olive College. He is currently employed at Piedmont Natural Gas as a distribution crew worker.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a white strapless satin mermaid gown with a sweetheart neckline complete with beaded embroidered embellishments on the bodice. For her headpiece, she choose a shoulder-length two-tiered white veil with a crystal-embellished comb given to her by Priscilla and Lindsey Frederick. For her bouquet, she carried white lilies with maroon peonies, pepper berries cascading with ivory garden roses gathered with dusty miller and willow eucalyptus.

Lindsey Frederick, friend of the bride, was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Jaimie Mitchell, sister-in-law of the bride, and Jordan Sutton, Melissa Avent, Amelia Rodgers and Danielle Sills, friends of the bride.

Michael Wayne Chase served as his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were Tyler Mitchell, brother of the bride; Zack Chase, brother of the groom; and Scott Murphy, Chad Murphy and Wesley Capps, friends of the groom.

Skyler Barnes, niece of the bride, was the junior bridesmaid.

Aubrey Sauls and Harper Sutton were flower girls.

Mason Sauls and Connor Sutton were ringbearers.

Rhonda Stocks, aunt of the groom, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Kaitlyn Quinn and Morgan Quinn. Parker Quinn and Aliya Mitchell distributed programs. Autumn Brand was violinist, and Danny Smith was vocalist.

A dinner reception was held in church fellowship hall directly after ceremony.

After a wedding trip to St. Lucia, the couple will reside in LaGrange, N.C.

The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Free Gospel Church. The groom choose this time to present gifts to his groomsmen.

Events held before the wedding included an ice cream social hosted by Bernice McLawhorn, Peggy Stocks and Hagar Jackson held Aug. 7; a miscellaneous shower Sept. 17 hosted by family and friends of the bride and groom; a Pampered Chef shower hosted by Rhonda Stocks and Brittany Price held Sept 22; a bridesmaids’ luncheon Oct. 29 at the Farm on Salem Church Road hosted by the bride’s parents, during which time the bride chose to present gifts to her attendants; a bachelorette weekend in Myrtle Beach, S.C., Sept. 2 through 4 hosted by the bride’s attendants; and a bachelor weekend Sept. 23 through 25 in Myrtle Beach, S.C., hosted by the groomsmen.
