Hannah Brooke Glover and Shea Kendall Glaesman of Goldsboro exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Oct. 23, 2016, at 5:30 in the afternoon at Sarah P. Duke Gardens in Durham, N.C., with Chelsea Glaesman Bunn, sister of the groom, and Daniel B. Glover, brother of the bride, officiating.

The bride is the daughter of M. Sherill and Robin Pulley Glover of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Linda Brannan Pulley and the late Billy Elwood Pulley of Selma and Marion W. and Cedessel Evans Glover of Princeton.

She is a 2008 graduate of Wayne Christian School. She was a 2012 cum laude graduate of Belhaven University in Jackson, Miss., with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and a minor in dance. Then, she went on to graduate summa cum laude with an MBA from Campbell University in 2016. She is employed at Embassy Suites in Cary.

The groom is the son of Peter and Marla Glaesman of Goldsboro and the grandson of the late Tom and Markie Tomlinson of Goldsboro, Evelyn Fail and the late Olin Fail of Goldsboro and Mary Glaesman and the late Marvin Glaesman of Fallon, Nev.

He is a 2008 graduate of Wayne Christian School. He served in the United States Air Force. While there, he was trained to speak and understand the Russian language fluently. He attended Wayne Community College. He is employed at Sam’s Club.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a Lillian West gown by designer Justin Alexander. It was a light gold, ivory and silver Chantilly embroidered lace spaghetti strap A-line gown featuring a front and back V-neckline and a natural waistline with a plain trim ivory fingertip-length veil. She wore her mother’s pearl necklace. She carried a bouquet of ivory and apricot garden roses, ivory and green hydrangeas and eggplant calla lilies tied together with ribbons.

Molly Glover, sister of the bride, was maid of honor.

Michael Thevenin, friend of the groom, served as best man. Ushers were Daniel Glover of Goldsboro, brother of the bride, and Shawn Weigle of Fayetteville, friend of the couple.

Jeffrey Surles of Dunn directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Danielle St. Clair of Goldsboro, cousin of the groom. Robyn Pulley of Goldsboro and Sue Glover of Smithfield, aunts of the bride, served the wedding cake.

A program of wedding music was provided by Jordan Portela of Snow Hill, vocalist and guitarist.

Following the wedding, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at Doris Duke Center on the grounds of Sarah P. Duke Gardens. The couple toasted each other using the same glasses from the wedding of the bride’s parents 30 years earlier.

After a wedding trip to the island of Antigua, the couple resides in Raleigh, N.C.

A rehearsal meal was hosted by the groom’s parents at Nofo at the Pig in Raleigh, N.C., Oct. 22, 2016.

Before the wedding, a bridal luncheon was given Sept. 17, 2016, by Michele Larson, Jan Rose and Julia Clark, all of Goldsboro at Olive Garden, where she was presented a special gift and handwritten remembrance from the hostesses, who have been lifelong friends of the bride.
