Jenny Caroline Lewis and Austin Tyler Chase were married Oct. 1, 2016, in a double-ring ceremony at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church at 5 p.m., with the Rev. Ray Hanna officiating.

The bride is the daughter of John Dortch Lewis and Jenny Bridgers Lewis of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Paul Delmus Bridgers, Jean Strickland Bridgers, the late John D. Lewis and the late Carolyn Stenhouse Lewis.

She is a recreational therapy assistant with Vidant Medical Center.

The groom is the son of Stacey Howard Chase and Misty Lang Chase of Snow Hill and the grandson of Jamie E. Lang, Linda M. Lang, Mrs. Helen Smith Chase of Snow Hill and the late Howard Lloyd Chase of Snow Hill.

He is a warehouse manager at Coastal AgroBusiness.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father.

She wore a stunning all-lace oatmeal-colored gown by Willowby by Walters. Lace motifs flowed from the delicate straps onto the illusion back. The gown also featured a beautiful sweep train. The dress was accented by a gorgeous cathedral-length veil with Alencon lace trim.

Stacey H. Chase, father of the groom, was best man. Ushers were John D. Lewis III, brother of the bride; Paul Spencer Lewis Sr., brother of the bride; Gaston McKee Lewis Sr., brother of bride; James Derek Lancaster, brother-in-law of the groom; Joseph Rufty, friend of the groom; Andrew Sawers, friend of the groom; Joseph Hawley, friend of the groom; and Gaston McKee Lewis Jr., nephew of the bride.

Stephanie D. Lewis, sister-in-law of the bride, was matron of honor, while Tess Harrell, friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Glena Lewis, sister-in-law of the bride; Ashleish Lancaster, sister of the groom; Brooke Wooten, friend of the bride; Hannah Jessup, friend of the bride; Ann Gordon Pelletier, friend of the bride; Elizabeth Titchener, friend of the bride; and Heather Price, friend of the bride.

Bella Lewis and Emma Lewis, nieces of the bride, were junior bridesmaids.

Lila Kate Lewis, Camden Lewis and Parker Lewis, nieces of the bride, were flower girls. Easton Lewis and Spencer Lewis Jr., nephews of the groom, were ringbearers.

Mary Lee Jeffreys directed the wedding. Presiding at the register and distributing programs were Georgia, Sadie and Eliza Lang, cousins of the groom.

A program of wedding music was provided by Marshall Foster, organist, and Emma Lewis and Bella Lewis, vocalists.

Sheila Sharpe was a special helper.

A reception was held on family land in Goldsboro.

After a wedding trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, the couple will reside in Snow Hill.

A rehearsal dinner was held at the old Goldsboro Fire Station.

Events held before the wedding included a party hosted by friends and family at the home of Elizabeth and Walter Pelletier of Goldsboro June 4, 2016; a party hosted by friends and family from Snow Hill at the home of Colin and Susan Beaman in Atlantic Beach June 11, 2016; and a Christmas shower given by friends from Caroline’s Dec. 14, 2015.
