Amber Renee Sasser and Christopher Joseph Leclercq exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Aug. 9, 2014, at 5 p.m. at Nahunta Friends Meeting, with Eric Woods officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Nathan Edward "Eddie" Sasser and the late Janet Holmes Sasser of Pikeville and the granddaughter of Jean Sasser Edgerton and the late Rudolph Sasser of Pikeville and the late Milford Olen and Ruth Shivar Holmes of Seven Springs.

The bride is a 2005 honor graduate from Charles B. Aycock High School and a 2012 honor graduate from Wayne Community College with a degree in human services technology/substance abuse.

She is employed as a certified substance abuse counselor in Goldsboro.

The groom is the son of Eric and Guadalupe Leclercq of Norwalk, Calif., and the grandson of Collen Ann Jergenson of Carson, Calif., the late Henry Leclercq of Decatur, Ill., and the late Joe and Frances Flores of San Antonio, Texas.

The groom is a 2000 graduate from John Glenn High School.

The groom is currently serves a technical sergeant in the United States Air Force.

The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her father, Eddie Sasser.

The bride wore a white strapless taffeta mermaid gown featuring beaded appliques, a corset back and a chapel train.

The fingertip-length veil was sheer white with a beaded trim.

Jennifer Wickes of Pikeville, served as matron of honor, while Lauren Taylor of Myrtle Beach, S.C., was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Haley Taylor of Wilmington, Brooke Radford of Pikeville, Ashley Sutton of Faison and Jami Bradley of Greenville.

Roger Hoffstetter of La Mirada, Calif., served as best man.

Groomsmen were Jason Sasser of Pikeville, Bruce Wickes of Pikeville, Phil Taylor of Pikeville and Will Caughron of Goldsboro.

Hunter Sasser and Tanner Branch were ringbearers.

Robyne Herring directed the wedding. Presiding at the register and distributing programs was Karla Thompson.

A program of wedding music was provided by Allen Sasser and pianist Jeff Cook.

A reception was held at Lane Tree Country Club following the ceremony.

After a wedding trip to Sandals Resort at Emerald Bay in the Bahamas, the couple resides in Pikeville.

A rehearsal dinner was held at Nahunta Friends Meeting hosted by family.

Events held before the wedding included an engagement party barbecue held at Little River Volunteer Fire Department hosted by family and friends; a bachelorette weekend in Myrtle Beach, S.C., hosted by Lauren and Haley Taylor; a lingerie shower hosted by Jennifer Wickes; a bridal shower hosted by family and friends; and a tool party hosted by family.
