Lindsey Rae Sauls of Raleigh and Dr. Leo Aloysious Haydt IV of Raleigh exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony March 8 at 4 p.m. at Prestonwood Country Club in Cary, with Mitchell Ham officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Marvin Glenn and Lynn Hinson Sauls of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Gordon Henry and Barbara Jean Farrell of Goldsboro and the late Edward Ray Hinson Sr., Jean Taylor Hinson and Marvin Sauls of Goldsboro.

She graduated from Eastern Wayne High School in 2005 and East Carolina University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing.

She is employed as a registered nurse at WakeMed.

The groom is the son of Leo Aloysious Haydt III and Susan Ann Haydt of Sebastian, Fla., and the grandson of Jean Elsa Haydt and the late Leo Aloysious Haydt Jr. of Mountaintop, Pa., and the late Stanley and Cecelia Petrovich of Warrior Run, Pa.

He graduated from Millbrook High School in 1999 and the University of North Carolina State with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology in 2003, and then graduated from Boston University with a Doctorate of Medical Dentistry in 2009.

He is the owner of Tryon Family Dentistry.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

The bride wore a Sottero and Midgley extraordinary embellished lace mermaid gown with scalloped edging surrounding the sweetheart neckline and bottom hem.

Her headpiece was a full-length lace-edged veil.

She carried a tailored bouquet of white roses, white ranunculus, sweet peas and orchids wrapped in ivory satin and lace from her mother’s wedding veil.

Cortney Beal of Zebulon was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Holly Bishop of Raleigh, cousin of the bride; Amy Miller of Wake Forest, cousin of the bride; Nikki Baker of Orlando, Fla.; Jessica Spriovich of Houston, Texas; and Liza Davis of Wilson.

Randall Haydt of Charlotte, brother of the groom, served as best man.

Groomsmen were Eric Sauls of Raleigh, brother of the bride; Aaron McGlynn of Harleysville, Pa., cousin of the groom; Brad Askew of Wake Forest; Richard White of San Francisco, Calif.; and Ashley Mann of Cary.

Ushers were Harry, Tommy and Joshua Haydt of Mountaintop Pa., cousins of the groom, and Jeffrey Hill of Wake Forest, Adam Hinson of Raleigh and Noah Hinson of Goldsboro, cousins of the bride.

Ava Hock cousin of the groom, and Hannah Miller and Hadley Bishop, cousins of the bride, were the flower girls.

Elijah Woolard was ringbearer.

Mr. and Mrs. Allen Wayne Williams of Goldsboro directed the wedding ceremony.

Christine Borneo was wedding coordinator of Prestonwood Country Club.

Presiding at the register was Kelly Haydt, sister-in-law of the groom.

A program of wedding music was provided by Randy Prosser, pianist; Karen Prosser, vocalist; and Marta Partridge, violinist.

Following the ceremony, a cocktail hour and reception were held at Prestonwood Country Club in Cary.

After a wedding trip to St. Lucia, the couple resides in Raleigh.

Events that were held before the wedding included an engagement party in Raleigh hosted by Nick and Colleen Joyce, Brad and Melissa Askew and Randy and Kelly Hadyt; a his-and-hers tailgate shower in Raleigh hosted by Holly Bishop and Amy Miller; a bridal shower in Goldsboro hosted by Phyllis Hill and Caroline Hinson; a monogram shower in Mountaintop hosted by Susan Haydt, Kelly Haydt and Jean Haydt; a lingerie shower in Raleigh hosted by Amy Moore; a bridal shower in Raleigh hosted by the co-workers of the bride; a bachelorette weekend in Orlando, Fla., hosted by the bridesmaids; a bachelor party in Charlotte that was hosted by the groomsmen; and a bridesmaids’ luncheon at Brio Tuscan Grille in Raleigh that was hosted by Phyllis Hill and Holly Bishop.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner at Lugano’s in Cary.
