Kaitlyn Rose Brock and Joshua James Bell were married Nov. 30, 2013, at 2 p.m. on the beach in North Myrtle Beach, S.C. The Rev. Harold M. Mitchell officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Ms. Crystal Goodson Brock and Mr. Granger Keith Brock of Mount Olive. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kermit M. Goodson of Mount Olive, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Medford of Grantham and Mr. and Mrs. Granger Brock of Grantham.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy James Bell of Mount Olive. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. William F. Outlaw of Mount Olive and the late Mr. and Mrs. Donnell Bell.

Escorted by Mr. Konner Perry Brock and Mr. Kaleb Blaine Brock, brothers of the bride, and given in marriage by her family, the bride wore a silky satin strapless gown featuring an empire waistline adorned with rhinestones and crystal beading. The a-line silhouette flowed into a chapel-length train.

The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet consisting of white miniature calla lilies, green miniature hydrangea and pink Gerbera daisies accented with Pittisporium greens wrapped in a white ribbon.

Karoline Hailey Brock, sister of the bride, was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Kallie Faith Brock, sister of the bride, and April Rouse Tutor, friend of the bride.

Flower girl was Miss Maggie Reece Outlaw, cousin of the groom.

The groom chose his father, Timothy James Bell, to be his best man.

Groomsmen were Alonzo Donald Pate III, cousin of the groom, and Darwin Kyle Byrd, friend of the groom.

Ring Bearer was Master William Gage Outlaw, cousin of the groom.

Attending the register was Alonna Christine Pate, cousin of the groom.

A reception was held in North Myrtle Beach following the ceremony, and Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013, at Bear Marsh Baptist Church in Mount Olive.

The bride is a 2010 graduate of North Duplin High School, and will graduate from Mount Olive College in May 2014 with a degree in agriculture education. She is employed by Monsanto Co.

The groom is a 2004 graduate of North Duplin High School, and a 2009 graduate of North Carolina State University with a degree in elementary education. He is currently employed by Duplin County Schools.

Following a wedding cruise to Jamaica, Turks, Caicos and the Bahamas, the newlyweds will reside in Mount Olive.

Pre-nuptial events included a miscellaneous wedding shower Sunday, Sept. 15, at Bear Marsh Baptist Church in Mount Olive hosted by the couple’s church family and friends; a honey-do cookout Saturday, Sept. 21 at the family’s cabin hosted by Bill and Candace Outlaw; a get acquainted barbeque Saturday, Oct.19, at First Baptist Church Christian Life Center in Mount Olive hosted by he bride’s family; a wedding shower at the home of Susie Sasser Saturday, Oct. 26, hosted by Brenda Bazemore, Susie Sasser and Theresa Sasser, aunts of the bride, and Pam Holt and Nan Wilkins, friends of the bride; a Christmas shower Sunday, Nov. 3, by Debbie Pate, Alonna Pate and Casey Braswell at the Braswell home; a wedding shower Saturday, Nov. 16, hosted by church family and friends at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Mount Olive; and a bridal luncheon Saturday, Nov. 23, at the Outlaw home hosted by Debbie Pate and Christine Outlaw.
