Mrs. Parker

Keeley Marie Martin of New York, N.Y., and Wylie Fort Parker II of New York, N.Y., exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Sept. 28, 2013, at half after six o’clock in the evening at Saint Paul Catholic Church in Lexington, Ky., with Father Mark Dreves officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Benjamin Martin of Lexington, Ky., and the granddaughter of Mrs. Joan LaNeve Martin of Newell, W. Va., the late Mr. Benjamin Harrison Martin of Chester, W. Va., Mr. and Mrs. William Thomas Kinder of Weirton, W. Va., and the late Mr. John Benjamin Ward of Oklahoma City, Okla.

The bride is a graduate of Lexington Catholic High School and the University of Kentucky. She is employed by Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, N.Y.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Canady Parker of Goldsboro and the grandson of Mrs. Francis Ogden Parker Sr. and the late Mr. Parker of Goldsboro and the late Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Alston Mitchell Sr. of Goldsboro.

Mr. Parker is a graduate of Woodberry Forest School and the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia. He is employed by Angelo, Gordon and Co. in New York, N.Y.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

Chelsea Lynn Martin of Lexington, Ky., sister of the bride, was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Catherine Parker Edmonson of Dallas, Texas, sister of the groom, and Mackenzie Ann Huston and Lauren Elizabeth Fister of Lexington, Ky., Regina Aisling Hemenway of Mason, Ohio, Bailey Switzer Robinson of Louisville, Ky., Madison Davis Newton of Birmingham, Ala., Nicole Newell Scheff of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Christine Louise DeSanctis of New York, N.Y., friends of the bride.

James Canady Parker, father of the groom, served as best man.

Groomsmen were Chad Friddle Edmonson of Dallas, Texas, brother-in-law of the groom, Robert William Chen, Timothy Alan Loughery and William Jameson McFadden of New York, N.Y, Robert Page Crozer Jr. of Atlanta, Ga., Andrew Rene Grabato of Austin, Texas, Darryl Ross Kennedy of Winston-Salem, N.C., Jamie David Rigden of Hong Kong and Oliver Charles Wedlake of London.

Ushers were Peter Weightman Allison and Brooks Gilman Gordon of New York, N.Y., Dillon Kyle Walker of Austin, Texas, and Donald Webb Wilson of Memphis, Tenn., friends of the groom.

Readers were Charlotte Westbrook Woltz of New York, N.Y., cousin of the groom, and Raleigh Wallace Nuckols of New York, N.Y., friend of the couple.

A reception given by the bride’s parents followed the ceremony at The Carrick House in Lexington.

The parents of the groom hosted a rehearsal dinner at Keeneland Race Course Clubhouse in Lexington.

Mrs. Barbara Martin, mother of the bride, hosted a bridesmaids luncheon at Dudley’s on Short in Lexington. Mr. and Mrs. Chad Friddle Edmonson hosted an engagement party at the Racquet and Tennis Club in New York, N.Y.

After a wedding trip to New Zealand and Bora Bora, the couple resides in New York.
