Dee Herring Bartlett of Cary and Brandon Matthew Cox of Kenansville exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Oct. 19 at 5 p.m. at LaGrange Christian Church, with the Rev. Bob Smith officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Ronnie and Carol Herring Bartlett of LaGrange and the granddaughter of the late Alfred Bartlett of LaGrange, Marie Bartlett of LaGrange and Audrey Herring and the late Edward Matchett Herring Jr. of LaGrange.

She is a 2001 graduate of Charles B. Aycock High School and a 2005 graduate of North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural business management. She is employed with Edward Jones Investments.

The groom is the son of Jerry and Anita Cox of Jonesville and the grandson of the late Beulah and Elmer Cox of Burlington and the late Gilbert and Geneva Madden of Burlington.

He is a 2002 graduate of Starmount High School and a 2005 graduate of North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural extension education. He is employed at Hog Slat.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a soft, chic ivory chantilly lace gown fully decorated with metallic beading and accented with delicate sheer scallop cap sleeves. The natural waist was highlighted with a crystal and rhinestone beaded belt. The back of the gown featured a dramatic scalloped keyhole that flowed into a chapel-length train for a romantic finish.

The bride chose to wear a one-tiered cathedral-length veil with elegant satin ribbon trim around the edging. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of white hydrangeas and white roses wrapped with white satin ribbon.

Blair Griffin and Jennifer Shuler served as matrons of honor, while Elizabeth Bartlett was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Margaret Dickerson, Dana Gastelum, Whitney Huneycutt, Jessica Leggett, Rachel Rankin and Ellyn Smith.

Jerry Cox served as best man.

Groomsmen were Chris Cox, Michael Cox, Tray Bridgers, Peter Eure, Brad Griffin, Bryant Jennings, Adam Lytch and Zeb Saunders.

Abby Cox and Mallory Herring were flower girls.

Miller Cox was ringbearer.

Benjamin Rankin was bride crier.

Christine Parrish directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Audra Cox. Lindsay Cox distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Jason Cox, pianist; Carla Dawson and Jason Cox, vocalists; and Jacob Mewborn, organist.

A reception was held immediately following the ceremony at Walnut Creek Country Club.

After a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, the couple will reside in Cary.
