Frances Michelle Sasser of LaGrange and Ty Aubrey Gay Jr. of LaGrange exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 9, 2013, at 5:30 p.m. at River Landing Country Club in Wallace, with the Rev. Brad Mitchell officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Newton David Sasser Jr. of Sneads Ferry and Brenda Sutton Sasser of LaGrange and the granddaughter of the late Newton David and Ann Medlin Sasser of LaGrange and Frances Burke Sutton and the late William P. “Billy” Sutton of LaGrange. She is the stepdaughter of Natalie Sasser.

She is a graduate of Wayne Community College with a degree in dental assisting. She is employed as a certified dental assistant with Drs. Smith and Adams of Goldsboro.

The groom is the son of Ty Aubrey Gay of Kinston and Lisa Sugg Gay of Goldsboro and the grandson of Ann Gay and the late Pete Gay of Kinston and William Earl and Annette Sugg of Snow Hill. He is the stepson of Kim Gay.

The groom is a graduate of North Carolina State University in forest management. He is employed with Weyerhaeuser in New Bern.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

The bride wore a formal gown of diamond white taffeta and chiffon featuring a one-shoulder neckline adorned with flowers, feathers and beading, designed by Lasposa. The fitted bodice led into the symmetrical dropped waist, and was enhanced with ruching throughout the A-line skirt and chapel-length train.

Her headpiece was a 1930s lace clip accented with netting, beads and feathers.

She carried a bouquet of white, pink and coral accents, stargazers, Gerber daisies, roses and hydrangeas.

Sister of the bride Melissa Ann Gray served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kayla Hill of LaGrange, Brooke Gray of Goldsboro, Leighann Sutton of Seven Springs and Jenna Smith of Kinston.

The groom’s father, Ty Aubrey Gay, served as best man.

Groomsmen were the groom’s brother, Blake Gay of Raleigh, Staten Rogers of Kinston, the bride’s brother-in-law, Les Gray of LaGrange, James Lancaster of Kinston and Jordan Davenport of Kinston.

Nephew of the bride, Devin Gray of LaGrange and brother of the groom, Tyson Gay of Kinston were the ringbearers.

Toy poodle, Pearly, of the bride and groom, entered the ceremony with the matron of honor, and exited the ceremony with the bride and groom. Pearly wore a pink, white and coral tutu.

Vocalists at the ceremony were Jordan Rouse of Mount Olive and Mike Burke of Kinston. Ceremony and reception music was provided by Keith Waller of Mount Olive.

The rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents June 8, 2013, at River Landing Country Club Lodge.

The reception, hosted by the bride’s parents, was held at River Landing Country Club in Wallace.

After the ceremony, the couple took a trip to St. Pete Beach in St. Petersburg, Fla., and will return to reside in LaGrange.

Dana Southerland of LaGrange directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was cousin of the groom Amanda Gay of Wilmington. Katie Whitley of Goldsboro distributed the wedding programs.
