Meredith Rae Grantham and Matthew David Blakeley exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony May 18, 2013, at 5:30 p.m. at Greystone Baptist Church in Raleigh, with Amanda Akin and Eric Reel officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Tony Alan and Pamela Ivey Grantham of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Mary Stuckey Grantham and the late Herman Rudolph Grantham of Goldsboro and Ted and Erna Ivey of Goldsboro.

She is a 2009 salutatorian graduate of Rosewood High School and a 2013 summa cum laude graduate of North Carolina State University School of Design with a Bachelor’s of Environmental Design in architecture.

The groom is the son of Rick and Julie Blakeley of Lincolnton and the grandson of Ken and Dot Blakeley of Fredericksburg, Va., and Tom and Carol Weeks of Lincolnton.

He is an Eagle Scout, a 2009 graduate of Lincolnton High School and a 2013 cum laude graduate of North Carolina State University School of Engineering with a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering. He is employed as supply chain consultant at Manhattan Associates.

The bride was escorted by father and given in marriage by parents.

She wore a Jasmine gown of white charmeuse with a tulle overlay accented with lace, beading and sequins. The strapless gown had a sweetheart neckline; the skirt flowed into a tiffany-length train. Her cathedral length veil, accented with a rhinestone comb, was trimmed with lace, seed pearls and sequins. The bride carried a bouquet of black bacarra roses wrapped with ruscus and black ribbon.

Samantha Medlin, friend of the bride, was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Allison Cicero and Morgan Wolf, friends of the bride, and Rachel Grantham, sister of the bride.

Andrew Blakeley, brother of groom, served as best man.

Groomsmen were Logan Canipe, Adam Abernathy and Preston Bradley, friends of the groom.

Katherine Grantham, sister of the bride, was the junior bridesmaids.

Ushers were Taylor Grantham and Noah Grantham, brothers of the bride.

Lisha Stewart directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Jenna Hampton, friend of the bride and groom. Cassia Lewis and Megan Bennett distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Joseph Havey, pianist.

A reception was held in the church fellowship hall, catered by Casey’s of Princeton.

After a wedding trip to Edisto Island, S.C., the couple resides in Marietta, Ga.

A rehearsal dinner was held at The Royal Banquet, catered by The Pit of Raleigh, N.C.
