Mrs. Petersen

Margaret Johnson Marcello, Thibodaux, La., and Timothy Michael Petersen, Madison, Ala., were married April 20 at 6:30 p.m. at Mater Dolorosa Church in New Orleans.

The bride is the daughter of Robert J. and Lesley Wharton Marcello, a Goldsboro native, and granddaughter of Rosalie Johnson Marcello and the late John J. Marcello, Thibodaux, and Annie Laurie Crawford Wharton, the late John “Jack” Sherard and the late June Y. Wharton of Goldsboro.

The groom is the son of Steven E. and Mary Anne McGinn Petersen, Madison, and the grandson of Fred L. and Shirley Sunseri Petersen, Foresthill, Calif., and the late Leo F. and Marian D. McGinn.

The bride and groom are Army officers stationed in Germany.

Elizabeth Marcello Fabrega, twin sister of the bride, Lawton, Okla., was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Shana S. Veade, Baton Rouge, Candace McNabb Lemoine, Lafayette and Kathryn Anne Petersen, groom’s sister.

Patrick S. Petersen, groom’s brother, Pensacola, Fla., was best man. Groomsmen: Robert T. Eberts IV, Germany, Eric M. Stangle, Germany, and Dr. Gustavo A. Fabrega, Lawton. Ushers: Philip M. Bernard, New Orleans, and John Joseph Wharton, Charlottesville, Va.

Wendy Lucille Wharton, bride’s cousin, was junior bridesmaid. Hannah Veade was flower girl.

The bride’s parents hosted a reception at the New Orleans Marriott.
