Beaman-Bass
Kristen Jo Beaman and Christopher Daniel Bass exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Oct. 13, at 5:30 p.m. at Northeast Original Free Will Baptist Church in Mount Olive, with the Rev. Richard Cuddington officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Ms. Sue Jackson Beaman and Mr. Marvin Joseph Beaman Jr. and the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Beaman Sr., Rebecca Baucom Beaman and the late Mr. and Mrs. Jim Jackson of Mount Olive.
She is an RN at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Danny Bass of Goldsboro and the grandson of Mrs. Grace Jones and the late Mr. James Jones of Goldsboro.
He is employed at UPS in Goldsboro.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a formal organza ivory gown with a unique sweetheart neckline. The bodice of the gown was embellished with embroidery and Swarovski crystals. The skirt had soft pick-up details accented with flowers and feathers.
The bride wore a birdcage feathered veil.
The bride carried a brooch bouquet made by Mrs. Jane Beaman from a collection of family and friend broaches.
Mrs. Heather Bradshaw served her sister as matron of honor.
Courtney Taylor served as the maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Tyler Barwick, Krystal Pendergraft, Nicole Rose, Amanda Vann, Kelsea Walters and Laura Whitfield.
Danny Bass was his son’s best man.
Groomsmen were T.J. Bass, Bradley Bradshaw, Matt Brogden, Sherrod Moye, Joel Rose, Jamie Shearer and Mike Wilcox
Mrs. Judy Lewis of Mount Olive, friend of the family, directed the wedding. Special helpers included Mrs. Debra Barwick, Jennifer Lewis, Jill Parks and Angie Sanders. Presiding at the register and distributing programs were Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Shannon Jackson of Wallace, cousins of the bride, and Connor Jackson, nephew of the bride.
A program of wedding music was provided by Mrs. Sue McClenny, organist and pianist; Jenny Heim, violinist; and Ms. Pam Bedford and Mr. Jimmy Martin, vocalists.
Poem readers were Mrs. Beth Davis and Miss Amber Game.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a dinner and dance reception at Lane Tree Golf Club. Greeters were Mr. and Mrs. Terry Holloman, Mr. and Mrs. Blake Blackwell, Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Sasser, Mr. and Mrs. Shannon Sweet and Brian Sweet. Mrs. Ann Beaman D’Agostino and Mrs. Pamela Beaman, aunts of the bride, served the wedding cake. Mrs. Jane Beaman assisted in serving the wedding candy. Mrs. Jennifer Parker was the reception director.
After a wedding trip to the Caribbean islands, the couple will reside in Goldsboro.
Events held before the wedding included a lucky-in-love engagement dinner party in March at Murphy’s in Goldsboro hosted by the bride’s sister and brother in law, Mr. and Mrs. Bradley Bradshaw; a wedding shower in April at the home of Mr. Tommy Outlaw and Ginger McQueen hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Terry Holloman, Mr. and Mrs. Tim Holliday, Mr. and Mrs. Blake Blackwell and Mr. and Mrs. John Rea; an around-the-clock shower in August at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Walters hosted by Mrs. Kelsea Walters, Jill Parks, Debra Barwick, Debbie Holmes, Tammy Keel, Angie Sanders, Eileen Whitfield, Lisa Whitfield, Jo Brown and Beth Davis; a dinner party in September at RibEye’s in Mount Olive hosted by Mr. Jerry Jackson, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Shannon Jackson and Mr. Christopher Jackson; a miscellaneous shower in September at Northeast Original Free Will Baptist Church hosted by Debra and Tyler Barwick, Lisa Whitfield, Judy Lewis, Mary Dell Lewis, Debbie Holmes, Eileen Whitfield, and Jo Brown; a dinner party Sept. 29 at the Oasis in Clinton hosted by Dennis and Cathy Waller; a girs’ weekend in Myrtle Beach, S.C., hosted by Heather Beaman Bradshaw; a bridesmaids’ dinner Sept. 30 at the Village Steak House hosted by the bride’s mother during which time the bride presented her attendants with gifts; a wedding shower at the home of the groom’s parents Sept. 16. hosted by Mrs. Jenny Lou Bass, Mrs. Grace Jones and Mrs. Kay Lawhorn; and a bachelor party in Myrtle Beach, S.C., hosted by the groom’s friends in September.
Mr. and Mrs. Danny Bass, parents of the groom, hosted a rehearsal dinner Oct. 12 at the home of the groom’s parents. The groom chose this time to present gifts to his groomsmen.
