Melissa Craft Howell and Danny Beasley Jr. exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony April 21, 2012, at 5 p.m. at Hinnant Family Vineyards in Kenly, with the Rev. E.C. Mattocks officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Borden Franklin Howell Jr. and Lynette Hartley Howell of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of the late Borden Franklin and Hilda Smith Howell of Goldsboro and Stanley Leon and Lynn Sutton Hartley of Mount Olive.

She is a 2003 graduate of Rosewood High School and a graduate of Wayne Community College with a livestock and poultry and an ag business management degree. She is employed as food safety manager at Howell Farming Co. Inc.

The groom is the son of Danny and Teresa Person Beasley of Pikeville and the grandson of Caralean Beasley and the late Hubert Ashley Beasley of Goldsboro and the late Lester “Chub” and Ellen Jones Person of Goldsboro.

He is a 2001 graduate of Charles B. Aycock High School and a graduate of Wayne Community College with an industrial systems technology degree.

He is employed as a truck driver at Pate Dawson Co.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a Casablanca white strapless neckline with beaded lace appliques sewn onto netting over silky satin and crystal taffeta pleated bodice.

Ansley Law Gimenez served as matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Amy Hope Lawhorne, Mary Humphrey Gurganus, Ashley McCabe Rice and Ashley Suggs Whittington.

Danny Beasley served as best man.

Laney Price was the junior bridesmaid.

Ushers were Garrett Howell, Ryan Tyndall, Gary “Goobie” Lancaster and Blake Gurganus.

Jeffrey and Dana Head directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Linzy Howell and Melissa Stevens. Sarah Giddens and Debra Bedford distributed programs.

Vickie Howell was reception director.

McKenzie Allen and Karli Beasley did hair and makeup.

DJ was Tommy King.

A reception held at Hinnant Family Vineyards given by parents of the bride. DJ Tommy King provided music.

After a wedding cruise to the Bahamas and Key West, the couple resides in Goldsboro.

A rehearsal dinner was given by the groom’s parents. A poolside dinner was held at the home of the bride. The couple chose this time to give gifts to their attendants.

Events held before the wedding included an engagement party given by family Feb. 25 at Lane Tree Golf Club; a bridesmaids’ luncheon given by friends of the bride and the bride’s mother at Texas Steakhouse March 31; a miscellaneous shower given by family and friends of the bride and groom at Westwood Methodist Church Feb. 12; a luncheon given at the beach home of the aunt of the bride March 16; a gift card shower held at the home of the bride and given by bridesmaids March 17; a bachelorette party given by the bridesmaids and friends of the bride and groom April 13; and a bachelor weekend in Myrtle Beach, S.C., given by friends of the bride and groom April 13 through 15.
