Logan - Tollison
Erin Elizabeth Logan of Atlanta, Ga., and Matthew Moore Tollison of Atlanta exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Nov. 5, 2011, at 5 p.m. at Westin Savannah Harbor in Savannah, Ga., with the Rev. William Brettmann officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Robert Barrett and Jo Ann Logan of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Mary Waters Logan of Goldsboro, the late Virgil Edward Logan Jr. of Savannah, Ga., and the late Clarence Wasdin and Jessie Rose Peacock of Goldsboro.
The groom is the son of Francis Rudolph Tollison Jr. and Sara Williams Tollison of Greensboro and the grandson of the late Francis Rudolph Tollison Sr. and Mary Ann P. Tollison of Anderson, S.C., and the late Hiram Elwood and Frances M. Williams of Eden.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore an ivory lace A-line gown designed by Jim Hjelm.
She carried a bouquet of mango calla lillies over an antique fan of ivory and lace that belonged to her great-grandmother.
Emily Neill of Charlotte served as matron of honor, while bridesmaids were Allison Coppage of Greenville, S.C., Margaret Gable of Raleigh, Lucy Guill of Santa Monica, Calif., Liza Swan of Atlanta, Jennie Tollison of Steamboat Springs, Colo., sister of the groom, Mary Covington Walker of Augusta, Ga., and Nora Wallace of San Francisco, Calif.
F.R. Tollison Jr. served as best man.
Groomsmen were Jeff Davis of Greensboro, Steve Duncan of Atlanta, David Joyce of Raleigh, Jay Kirkpatrick of Greensboro, Kevin Logan of Raleigh, brother of the bride, Toby Newkirk of Atlanta and Adam Wyatt of Raleigh.
Greeters were Harper Gwatney of Raleigh and Kathryn Jeffreys of Knoxville, Tenn.
Scripture was read by Camden Elliott of Washington, D.C., and Becky Newkirk of Atlanta.
First City Events of Savannah, Ga., directed the wedding.
Floral arrangements done by Garden on the Square of Savannah, Ga., and Robert Daniel of Goldsboro.
Ceremony music was provided by classical guitarist Sean Driscoll of Savannah, Ga.
A reception was held at Westin Savannah Harbor.
After a wedding trip to Jumby Bay, Antigua, the couple resides in Atlanta.
Events held before the wedding included an engagement party in Atlanta hosted by friends of the couple; a bridal shower hosted by high school friends of the bride at The Cupcake Shoppe in Raleigh; and a spa day for the bride and bridesmaids at Heavenly Spa at The Club at Savannah Harbor the morning of the wedding hosted by friends of the bride’s family.
The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at The Olde Pink House in Savannah Nov. 4, followed by an after-rehearsal dinner reception hosted by family and friends of the groom’s family at The Club at Savannah Harbor.
