Krystal Leanne Epps of Wilmington and Gordon William Howard Jr. of Wilmington exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony April 2 at 3 p.m. at Pine Forest United Methodist Church, with Doug Johnson officiating.

The couple were originally married Feb. 23 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice in Wilmington so the bride’s father could be part of the ceremony before he passed away.

The bride is the daughter of Sue Harvell Carter of Goldsboro and the late Everette Neil Epps of Wilmington, the stepdaughter of Stanley Carter and the granddaughter of the late Everette Meters and Sally Eloise Epps, Davis Lee Harvell and the late Linda Geraldine Harvell of Goldsboro.

She is a fifth-grade teacher at Pender County Schools.

The groom is the son of Kathleen Williams Howard and the late Gordon William Howard of Goldsboro, the grandson of the late Junior Howard, Bessie Brown Baker and the late Malcom B. Williams of Goldsboro and Myrtle May Summerell of Vanceboro and the stepgrandson of Lewie Baker.

He is employed as battalion chief at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

A reception was held in the church fellowship hall.

The couple resides in Wilmington.
