Jordan Lee Davis and Robbie Allen Webb exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Oct. 15 at 3:30 p.m. at Fremont United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Martin Armstrong and the Rev. Dede Britt officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Wayne Davis of Stantonsburg and the granddaughter of Frances H. Davis and the late Howard B. Davis of Fremont and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Thompson of Mount Olive.

She graduated from Charles B. Aycock High School in 2002 and from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication.

She graduated from East Carolina University in 2011 with a master’s degree in elementary education. She is employed as a fourth-grade teacher with Wayne County Public Schools.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Allen Webb of Stantonsburg and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lee Webb of Saratoga and Mr. and Mrs. George Jones and the late Rev. David Powell of New Bern.

He graduated from Beddingfield High School in 2002 and Wayne Community College in 2005 with an associate’s degree in agricultural business. He is employed with Wainwright Farms.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a taffeta side-draped A-line gown. It had a 3D flower at the waist and a sweep train.

Her headpiece was a fingertip-length two-tiered veil with beaded metallic edging with a floral motif accents.

The bride carried a bouquet of fall flowers of sunflowers, roses and lilies.

Liza Davis of Raleigh and Sarah Davis of Richmond, Va., were their sister’s maids of honor.

Bridesmaids were Tammy Thompson of Middlesex, sister of the groom; Chelsea Vinson of Goldsboro, cousin of the bride; and Erin Whitaker of High Point, friend of the bride.

Douglas Webb was his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were Michael Bass and Ryan Beamon of Saratoga, Cris Boswell of Stantonsburg and Todd Exum of Greenville, friends of the groom.

Ushers were Daniel Heath of Wilson, cousin of the groom; Brain Thompson of Middlesex, brother-in-law of the groom; and Kyle Vinson of Goldsboro, cousin of the bride.

Anna Campbell Boyd of Stantonsburg, friend of the couple, was flower girl. Wyatt Thompson of Middlesex, nephew of the groom, was the ringbearer.

Freda Davis and Jenny Morris directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Amy Bass and Marcy Beamon. Crystal Davis, Hope Davis and Holly Davis distributed the programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Sylvia Overman, pianist; Farah Davis, violinist; and Jessie Stewart, vocalist.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s family hosted a reception at the pond at Wainright Farms. Terry Barnes was director. Mr. and Mrs. Andy Boyd greeted guests.

After a wedding trip to Nashville, Tenn., the couple will reside in Saratoga

Events held before the wedding included a bridal shower Aug. 7 in Mount Olive hosted by bride’s family; a bridal shower Aug. 21 at Toad Hall in Stantonsburg hosted by the groom’s family; a Christmas shower and cookout Sept. 11 at Fremont United Methodist hosted by the youth group; a favorite things shower Sept. 18 at the home of Freda Davis hosted by friends of the bride’s mother; a couples shower Sept. 24 at the home of Andy and Dee Boyd hosted by the Boyds; a bachelorette shower Oct. 1 hosted by Tammy Thompson; and a bridal shower Oct. 12 at Eastern Wayne Elemen-tary hosted by co-workers of the bride.

The groom’s family held a rehearsal dinner Oct. 14 at Toad Hall.
