Aleisha Danielle Stanley of Statesville, formerly of Goldsboro, and Paul McKayne Hill of Statesville exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Oct. 22 at 4 p.m. at First Baptist Church, with Dr. Glenn Phillips Jr. officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Danny K. and Jerrie G. Stanley of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Elizabeth M. Stanley and the late William Junior Stanley of Lucama and Jerry A. and Doris F. Glenn of Goldsboro.

She is a 2006 graduate of Rosewood High School and a teaching fellow graduate of the University of North Carolina at Asheville with a bachelor’s degree in drama with teacher licensure in K-12 drama and English. She is employed as an English teacher at East Forsyth High School in Winston-Salem.

The groom is the son of Paul and Cyndi Hill of Salisbury and the grandson of Florence Hill, the late Zeb M. Hill, Claytie Benson, and the late Larry A. Benson of Salisbury.

He is a 2007 graduate of West Rowan High School in Salisbury and a teaching fellow graduate of the University of North Carolina at Asheville with a bachelor’s degree in classics with teacher licensure in Latin. He is employed as a Latin teacher at R. J. Reynolds High School in Winston-Salem.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents and sister.

She wore a wedding gown of ivory satin with beading on the lace overlay with a strapless neckline and an A-line silhouette with a chapel-length train. The dropped waistline featured a champagne satin waistband and bow with beaded accent.

She wore a white rose with pearl and beaded accents in her hair.

The bride carried a bouquet of red and white roses, cascading mango calla lilies, kangaroo paw, hypericum berries and ivy.

Bethany Stanley was her sister’s maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Allison Fambro, sister of the groom, and Beth Davis, Caitlin Moore, Krystle Raynor and Kristin Whatley, friends of the bride.

Paul Hill was his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were Mike Fambro, brother-in-law of the groom; CaLeb Hill, brother of the groom; and Wes Groetsema, Jon Griffin and Dudley Merryfield, friends of the groom.

Hazel Fambro, niece of the groom, was flower girl. Jakob Fambro, nephew of the groom, was ringbearer.

Deana Holland and Linda Sellers directed the wedding. Presiding at the register and distributing programs were Tatum and Alden Gwyn, cousins of the bride.

A program of wedding music was provided by Beverly Sager, pianist, and John O’Neil and Megan Frey, vocalists.

Following the ceremony, a dinner and dance reception was held in the church’s Elsie R. Hooks Fellowship Hall.

The couple will take a wedding trip to Williamsburg, Va. They reside in Winston-Salem.

Events held before the wedding included a miscellaneous shower in August in Mint Hill hosted by the bride’s family; a household shower in September in Salisbury hosted by the groom’s family; a Christmas shower Oct. 1 hosted by Beth Davis and Jo Brown; and a miscellaneous shower Oct. 2 hosted by ladies of First Baptist Church.

A rehearsal dinner was held at First Baptist Church.
