Leslie Amanda Thompson and Travis Kirk Quinn exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Oct. 8 at 4 p.m. at Pine Forest United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Vann Spivey officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Larry R. and Melanie Hollis Thompson of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Leslie “Red” Thompson, the late Edna A. Thompson and the late Joe and Velma Hollis of Goldsboro.

She graduated from Rosewood High School in 2004 and North Carolina State University in 2008. She is employed as an underwriter at Strickland Insurance Brokers.

The groom is the son of Marshall K. and Kathy Johnson Quinn of Kenansville and the grandson of A. Fitch and Lois H. Quinn of Potters Hill and Mae C. Johnson and the late E. Dalma Johnson of Goldsboro.

He graduated from Harrells Christian Academy in 2002 and the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2006. He is employed as sales account manager at Mother Earth Brewing.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore an ivory satin A-line gown with lace and beaded appliqués,

Her headpiece was a mid-length two-tiered veil with beaded appliqués.

The bride carried a bouquet of red roses and mixed flowers of ivory, green, orange and yellow.

Tara Thompson was matron of honor, while McKenzie Allen was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Carrie Adams, Emily Barwick and Lindsay Crawford.

Marshall Quinn was the best man.

Groomsmen were Andrew Quinn, Adam Quinn, Christopher Mitchell and Jordan Rouse.

Avery Bass was flower girl. Turner Bass was ringbearer.

Susan Adams and Kim Farmer directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Becky Jachym. Greg Jachym distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Adam Quinn, vocalist.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church fellowship hall.

The couple will reside in Kinston.

Events held before the wedding included a shower Aug. 15 at the home of Sandra Gurley; a shower at Pine Forest Church Aug. 28; a shower Sept. 15 hosted by co-workers at Strickland Insurance; and a shower at Kenansville Baptist Church Sept. 25.

A rehearsal dinner was held at Chef and The Farmer in Kinston.
