Jamie Lynn Hastie of Raleigh and Jordan Shea Yelverton exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 10 at 6 p.m. at First Pentecostal Holiness Church, with pastor Bill Rose officiating.

The bride is the daughter of James Robert Hastie of LaGrange and Robin Morton Dew of Kinston and the granddaughter of James Prentice and Elsie Massey Hastie of West Chester, Pa., and Iris Sellers Morton and the late Samuel Thomas Morton, of North Charleston, S.C.

She is a 2006 graduate of Wayne Christian School, a 2009 graduate of the dental hygiene program at Wayne Community College and a 2011 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene. She is employed as a registered dental hygienist at Sninski and Schmitt Family Dentistry.

The groom is the son of Ricky Blake and Sheila Eatmon Yelverton of Goldsboro and the grandson of the late Lloyd and Ellen Smith Yelverton of Goldsboro and Rayland Lee and Jean Langley Eatmon of Smithfield.

He is a 2006 graduate of Wayne Christian School and a 2009 graduate of Wayne Community College. He attends North Carolina State University for a degree in history with a minor in journalism.

The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her father.

She wore a strapless gown with a mermaid silhouette and a sweep train. It had a draped taffeta bodice and a full skirt with tiered layers of taffeta, dotted tulle and lace.

The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of white roses, white hydrangeas and green hypericum berries.

Jeanna Hastie Adcock was her sister’s matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Allison Sowers Crowder and Whitney Leigh Jones.

Ricky Blake Yelverton was best man.

Groomsmen were Robert Clayton Anderson, Jeffrey Alton Barfield and Jonathan Kylie Perry.

Ushers were John Taylor Varnell and Jordan Craig Winstead.

Autumn Pittman directed the wedding. Presiding at the register and distributing programs was Morgan Carole Eatmon, cousin of the groom.

A program of wedding music was provided by Melinda McKee, cellist.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Walnut Creek Country Club.

After their wedding trip to Key West, Fla., the couple will reside in Raleigh.

Events held before the wedding included a shower April 2 at First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Goldsboro hosted by the groom’s mother, Jean Langley, grandmother of the groom, Carole Eatmon, aunt of the groom, and Jana Hill, sister of the groom; a bridal shower April 16 at British Chapel Church in Kinston hosted by Betsy Jones and Lisa Sowers; and a bachelorette party and lingerie shower at Vivace in Raleigh hosted Jeanna Adcock, sister of the bride.

The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Murphy’s Place.
