Davis - Tew
Faron Gail Tew and Matthew Perry Davis exchanged vows July 16 at Union Grove Baptist Church in Salemburg, with the Rev. Allen West officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hal Tew of Autryville and the granddaughter of Blanche McLamb of Roseboro, Reavis Tew of Autryville, the late Nathan McLamb and the late Paul Tew.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Davis of Goldsboro and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. William B. Davis Jr. of Goldsboro, Martha Wyatt of Hendersonville and the late Perry Wyatt.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
Ashley Tew was her sister-in-law’s matron of honor.
Veronica Davis, sister-in-law of the groom, was the bridesmaid.
Ed Davis was his son’s best man.
Groomsmen were Bryan Davis, brother of the groom, and Darren Tew, brother of the bride.
Marley Blue, friend of the couple, was flower girl. Owen Davis, nephew of the groom, was ringbearer.
Patsy Markham, aunt of the bride, and Phoebe West, cousin, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Joe and Charylene Honeycutt, friends of the bride’s family.
A program of wedding music was provided by Darryl Tew, cousin of the bride, vocalist.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents and grandmother hosted a reception at Sandy Ridge Country Club. Mr. and Mrs. Fulton Holden, cousins of the bride, greeted guests.
After their wedding trip to Savannah, Ga., the couple will reside in Clinton.
Events held before the wedding included a bachelorette and bachelor weekend June 3 through 5 in Myrtle Beach, S.C.; a bridal shower June 12 at Union Grove Baptist Church fellowship hall hosted by the bride’s family; a gift card shower June 26 at the home of the groom’s parents hosted by the groom’s mother; and a luncheon at the home of Kay Heinz hosted by the Tew cousins.
The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner July 15 at Union Grove Church fellowship hall.
