Kali Dawn Liljedahl of Clayton and James Brandon Davis of Clayton exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony July 23 at 6 p.m. at Fremont United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Rick Ward officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Brit Liljedahl of Missouri Valley, Iowa, and Sally and Greg Christiansen of Kennard, Neb., and the granddaughter of Carole Liljedahl, the late Lenus Liljedahl, Muriel Alger and the late Willis Grimm of Missouri Valley.

The bride is a 2002 graduate of Missouri Valley High School and a 2006 summa cum laude graduate of the University of Nebraska with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. She attends North Carolina Central University School of Law. She is employed as a legal assistant at West Law Offices.

The groom is the son of Frank and Faye Davis of Fremont and the grandson of Peggy Davis and the late Howard Davis of Goldsboro and Willard and Eleanor Ballance of Fremont.

The groom is a 2002 graduate of Charles B. Aycock High School and a 2006 graduate of North Carolina State University with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. He played baseball at Greensboro College. He is employed as a field adjuster at North Carolina Farm Bureau Ins.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a strapless white gown with a satin corset, beaded lace appliqués, an organza pick-up skirt and a lace-up back.

Leah Kleager was her cousin’s maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Corrie Ryan, sister of the bride; Morgan Davis, sister of the groom; and Tasha Wernimont, Nina Harrison and Nicole Geisinger, friends of the bride.

Frank Davis was his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were Scott Thompson, Paul Perry, Brooks Winters, Henry “Buddy” Allen and Michael Sayre, friends of the groom.

Christina Lancaster, cousin of the groom, and Mary Claire Dougherty, cousin of the bride, were flower girls.

Elizabeth Rose directed the wedding.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Lane Tree Country Club.

After their wedding trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica, the couple will reside in Clayton.
