Alexis Sheree’ Morrisey of Raleigh and Charles Williams III of Raleigh exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony May 21 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Turkey, with pastor Stenneth E. Powell and pastor Bobby Rogers officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Faison of Creedmoor and the late Dora L. Morrissey of Turkey and the granddaughter of Johnny and Susan Faison, Mattie Morrisey and the late Elmon Morrisey of Turkey.

The groom is the son of Gloria J. Williams and the late Charles Williams Jr. of Goldsboro and the grandson of Polly L. Williams of Goldsboro, the late Charles Williams and Willie Epps of Goldsboro and the late Christine Epps of Pikeville.

The bride was escorted by Hillary Morrisey and given in marriage by Hillary Morrisey and Mattie Morrisey.

She wore a white taffeta pick-up dress with a beaded metallic lace bodice, an inverted V-empire with a lace up back and a sweep train.

Clarissa Green was her sister’s matron of honor, while Asia Morrisey, sister of the bride, was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Tameka Faison, sister of the bride; Tracie Grimes, friend of the bride; and Chanda Williams, sister of the groom.

Dionte Mervin was his friend’s best man.

Groomsmen were Bryan Wells and Antonio Howard, cousins of the groom; Jonathan Thibodeaux, friend of the groom; and Marcus Green, brother-in-law of the bride.

Ushers were Larry Smith and Walter McCallop.

Lyberti Gibson, niece of the bride, and Jayla Pierce, cousin of the bride, were flower girls. Marcus Green Jr., nephew of the bride, was the ringbearer.

Honorary bridesmaids were Maryetta Phillips and Tereisha Faison.

Courtney Faison, sister of the bride, was the junior bride. Justyz Gibson, nephew of the bride, was the junior groom.

Hostesses were JaVonne Weathers, Melissa Howard, Ashanti Stevens and LaToya Sampson.

A program of wedding music was provided by pastor Roy Holmes, uncle of the bride, pianist, and Clarissa Green and Chanda Williams, vocalists.

After their wedding trip to Orlando, Fla., the couple will reside in Raleigh.

Events held before the wedding included a bridal shower April 23 at K&S Cafeteria in Raleigh hosted by Clarissa Green, sister of the bride, and Chanda Williams, sister of the groom.

A rehearsal dinner was held at First Baptist Turkey.
