Kelly Randall Jones and Robert Laverne Smith III exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 25 at 3 p.m. at Mount Olive First Pentecostal Holiness Church, with Pastor Doug Bartlett and Pastor Bobby Smith officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Susan Lancaster of LaGrange and Mr. and Mrs. Randy Jones of Mount Olive and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Lancaster of LaGrange, Mr. and Mrs. Elvin Jones of Mount Olive and Ed Ellis and the late Annie Ellis of Goldsboro.

She is a 2005 graduate of Spring Creek High School and a 2011 graduate of Campbell University with a doctor of pharmacy degree.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Smith of Mount Olive and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James Harper of Kenansville, Betty Jo Best of Faison, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Smith of Seven Springs and Susan Thompson Jackson of Mount Olive.

He is a 2003 graduate of Southern Wayne High School and a 2008 graduate of East Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education with a concentration in reading. He is employed at Carver Elementary School in Mount Olive as a third-grade teacher.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a formal gown with a sweetheart neckline and a shirred tulle bodice adorned with pearls, crystal beading and lace appliqués. The trumpet silhouette featured lace adorned with pearls and crystal beading was accented with a sweep train.

Her headpiece was a fingertip-length veil embellished with scattered pearls.

The bride carried a bouquet of white and yellow orchids, roses and alstroemeria.

Melanie Ackiss Caroon of Seven Springs was her friend’s matron of honor, while Ashley Michelle Lancaster of Kinston was her cousin’s maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Christine Hurdle Settle of Charlotte and Jeanna Butts Haley of Goldsboro, friends of the bride.

Adam Brock Harrell of Mount Olive was his friend’s best man.

Groomsmen were David Matthew Gore of Mount Olive, Roy Lee Creech of Seven Springs and Wayne Ronald Clemens of Dudley, friends of the groom.

Ushers were Corey Scott Hinson of LaGrange, brother of the bride, head usher, and Aaron Michael Harrell of Mount Olive and Thomas Doane Gainey and Scott Simmons Walker of Goldsboro, friends of the groom.

Honorary attendants were Rebecca Caroline Lancaster of Kinston, cousin of the bride; Corey Elizabeth Mills of Mount Olive, stepsister of the bride; and Susan Elizabeth Smith and Lydia Marie Smith of Goldsboro, sisters of the groom.

Paige Whitfield Lancaster of Kinston, cousin of the bride, was flower girl. Andrew Randall Jones and Luke Randall Jones, brothers of the bride, were the ringbearers.

Anne Swinson Letchworth of Mount Olive, friend of the bride’s family, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Molly Dean Brogden and Ethan Harvey Brogden, cousins of the bride. Ryan Aaron Mills, stepbrother of the bride, distributed the orders of worship.

A program of wedding music was provided by Carol Herring of Mount Olive, pianist; Hannah Lee, Micah Lee and Media Lee of Mount Olive, violinists; and Brandi Worth of Mount Olive, vocalist.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception in the church fellowship hall. Ellen Whitfield Lancaster of Kinston, aunt of the bride, served the wedding cake. Bonnie Jones Brogden of Mount Olive, aunt of the bride, poured punch.

After their wedding trip to the western Caribbean, the couple will reside in Mount Olive.

Events held before the wedding included a dinner April 29 at The Country Squire in Kenansville hosted by Dennis and Cathy Waller; a shower May 1 at Mount Olive First Pentecostal Holiness Church hosted by friends and family; a shower May 15 at Warsaw Pentecostal Holiness Church hosted by friends and family; a shower May 22 at the home of Annette Gray in LaGrange hosted by Lynn Everett and Luanne Scott; a shower May 23 at Carver Elementary School in Mount Olive hosted by the third-grade staff; a bridesmaids’ dinner May 27 at The Melting Pot in Raleigh hosted by Ashley Lancaster and Caroline Lancaster; and a bridesmaids’ luncheon June 18 at The Folded Napkin in Kinston hosted by Ellen Lancaster, Brenda Lancaster, Fannie Newbern and Elliott Sutton.

The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner June 24 at Mount Olive First Pentecostal Holiness Church.
