Jaime Blair King of Greenville and Scott Sterling Tanner of Greenville exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony May 21 at 2 p.m. at Walnut Creek Country Club, with pastor Mike Meshaw officiating.

The bride is the daughter of the late James Russell Whitfield Jr. of Mount Olive and Dr. Kathryn Holloway Geison of Harrells and the granddaughter of the late James R. Whitfield and Ruby Whitfield of Mount Olive and Roy and Betty Holloway of Goldsboro.

She is a1995 graduate of Eastern Wayne High School, a 2001 graduate of Barton College with a bachelor’s degree in human resource management and a 2006 graduate of Capella University with an MED in professional education. She is employed as career director at Miller-Motte College in Greenville.

The groom is the son of Thomas and Paula Tanner of Murrells Inlet, S.C., and the grandson of Henrietta Tanner of Raeford.

He is a 1990 graduate of Swansboro High School and a 1995 graduate of East Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and a minor in law enforcement and business administration. He is employed as a deputy sheriff with Pitt County Sheriff’s Office.

The bride was escorted by her grandfather, Roy Holloway, and given in marriage by her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Holloway.

She wore an ivory satin gown with a chapel-length train. The bodice and train were adorned in crystals, irridescents and seed pearls.

Her headpiece was a fingertip-length veil.

The bride carried a bouquet of sunflowers.

Lisa Smith was her sister’s matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Betsy LaGrone and Hayley LaGrone, nieces of the bride.

Michael Curran was best man.

Groomsmen were Kent Tanner, brother of groom, and Jeffery Bowman.

Adam Smith was the usher.

Diana Jackson was flower girl.

Presiding at the register was Kathryn Jackson.

A program of wedding music was provided by Jim Aycock, pianist.

After their wedding trip to Cancun, the couple will reside in Greenville.

A rehearsal dinner was held May 20 at Walnut Creek Country Club.
