Carrie Elizabeth Edwards and Steven Eric Warren exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Sept. 11 at 5 p.m. at Madison Avenue Baptist Church, with Dr. Bob Fulkerson officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Ralph Daniel and Betty Draughon Edwards of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Alice Sykes Edwards, the late S.H. Edwards and the late Harold and Ruby Cooke of Goldsboro.

The groom is the son of Gary Leon and Brenda Norris Warren of Dunn and the grandson of the late James Lester and Joan Gibson Warren of Salemburg and Wilbert Graham and Barbara Carter Norris of Clinton.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a couture wedding gown in a shade that was between white and ivory. The strapless bridal gown was fitted throughout the waist down to the mid-hip area and featured vertical pleats across the top with diagonal asymmetrical pleats across the bodice. It also had draping throughout the skirt that flowed into a chapel-length train.

Her headpiece was a matching elbow-length veil.

The bride carried a European hand-tied bouquet of white Virginia roses, hot pink spray roses and green hypericum berries with an Italian ruscus collar. The stems were adorned with white pearls.

Sara Whitfield was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Morgan Parks, Ann-Marie Yager, Mallory Albertson, Laura Whitfield and Kelly Edwards.

Adam Warren was the best man.

Groomsmen were Erik Edwards, Ryan Davis, Matthew Edwards, Bucky Turpin and Ralph Edwards II.

Madysen Edwards was flower girl. Maddox Edwards was ringbearer.

Christina Faucette directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Krystina Moore. Sara Davis distributed the programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Dave Periconi, organist, and E.G. Peters, vocalist.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Walnut Creek Country Club.

After their wedding trip to Turks and Caicos, the couple will reside in Goldsboro.

Events held before the wedding included an engagement party at Clinton Worship Center in Clinton hosted by the groom’s parents; a Pampered Chef shower in Winterville hosted by the bride’s aunt and cousins; a wedding shower in Clinton hosted by the groom’s parents, grandparents and family friends; and a bridal luncheon and shower at the Walnut Creek Country Club hosted by friends of the bride.

The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner Sept. 10 at the Steak Barn.
