Sarah Hope Pittman and Michael Wade exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Sept. 4 at 2 p.m. at Tee’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, with pastor Dennis Pollock officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Ronald and Sabra Pittman of Princeton and the granddaughter of the late J.R. and Sarah Pilkington and the Rev. Jimmy and Josephine Pittman.

She graduated from Wayne Community College in 2010. She is employed with Food Lion in Smithfield.

The groom is the son of Mark and Tammy Wade of Pikeville and the grandson of Cecil and Patricia Head, Dorothy Wade and the late Mark Wade.

He graduated from Wayne Community College in 2008. He is employed as a draftsman with Turkington USA in Clayton.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a white satin and taffeta gown with a pickup skirt and kneaded metallic lace on the bodice and a chapel train.

Her headpiece was a rhinestone tiara with a shoulder-length satin-lined veil embellished with rhinestones.

Casie Kozlowski was matron of honor, while Ashlee Pearce was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Megan Pollock, Brittany Sherbert and Heather Whiteford.

Matthew Anderson was best man.

Groomsmen were Jesse Alexander, Adam Parchman, Michael Adams and Daniel Hill.

Katie Pittman was the junior bridesmaid.

Shelby Crocker was flower girl. Blaine Crocker was ringbearer.

Marcell Allen directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was April Beasley. Kristina Moore distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Johnnie Mae Edwards, pianist, and David Moore, vocalist.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at the church.

After their wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple will reside in Pikeville.

Events held before the wedding included a bridal shower at the church hosted by the bride’s mother and friends; a pantry/bridal shower at Fremont Church hosted by Tammy Wade, Karen Hardee and Patricia Head; a bachelorette party at the home of Teresa Pearce hosted by Ms. Pearce and Ashlee Pearce; a bridesmaids’ luncheon at Sweet Maria’s in Wilson hosted by Nancy Josephs, Deborah Barham, Shelia Pittman, Courtney Carraway and Angie Smart; and a bachelor party hosted by the groomsmen.

The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner Sept. 3 at Tee’s Chapel Church.
