BENSON — Jessica Marie Johnson of Benson and Michael Alan Warren of Mount Olive exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony July 31 at 2 p.m. at Hodges Chapel Church, with Michael Preddy officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Rickie Johnson Sr. and Kathy Johnson of Benson and the granddaughter of the late Oscar D. and Mary Ellen Johnson of Dunn and Lenora Ivey and the late Bill Ivey of Benson.

She is employed as a radiology technologist at WakeMed Health and Hospitals.

The groom is the son of Kenneth Warren Jr. and Gail Warren of Faison and the grandson of Kenneth Warren Sr. and Evelyn Warren of Faison and Adolf and Nellie Anderson of Mount Olive.

He is employed as a radiology technologist at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Macey Tart was the maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Ashley Grady and Amber Smith.

Kenneth Warren Jr. was best man.

Groomsmen were Lewis Grady and Stephen Grady.

Ushers were Rickie Johnson Jr. and Charles Tart Jr.

Candace Lucas was flower girl.

Debbie Temple directed the wedding. Presiding at the register and also distributing programs were Parrish Tart and Ruth Tart.

A program of wedding music was provided by Devin Hocutt, pianist, and Benjamin Cruz and Mia Johnson, vocalists.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception in the church’s Luma Merritt fellowship hall.

After their wedding trip to Topsail Island, the couple will reside in Mount Olive.

Events held before the wedding included a shower June 20 hosted by the bride’s family and friends; a couple’s lawn and garden shower June 25 hosted by friends; and a miscellaneous shower July 11 hosted by the groom’s family.

The groom’s family hosted a rehearsal dinner July 30 at the Hodges Chapel Luma Merritt fellowship hall.
