DeBruine - Sugg
TOLEDO — Kendra Lyn Sugg of Toledo, Ohio, and Mark Anthony DeBruine Jr. of Toledo exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 12 at 2 p.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church, with father Chmiel officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Michael William and Barbara Ann Sugg of Toledo and the granddaughter of Adeline Amborski Scherer, the late Joseph Amborski, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Sugg and the late Marilyn Sugg of Toledo.
She graduated from Central Catholic High School in Toledo and attends physical therapy school.
The groom is the son of Mark A. DeBruine Sr. and Darlene Dorothy Heninger DeBruine of Goldsboro and the grandson of the late Mark S. DeBruine and Christina Psihogios DeBruine of Toledo and the late Norman Raymond Heninger and Dorothy LaVoy Heninger Cousino of Temperance, Mich.
He graduated from Central Catholic High School in Toledo and Mount Olive College with Bachelor of Science degree. He is employed as manager at Enterprise.
The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her father.
The bride wore a white satin beaded bodice gown gathered at the waist swept to the side.
Her headpiece was a blush veil borrowed from her sister, Laura.
The bride carried white daisies and pink roses along with purple freesia.
Laura Sugg Samson was matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Jennifer Sugg, sister-in-law; Dorothy DeBruine and Diane DeBruine, sisters of the groom; and Elizabeth Brchmer, friend of the bride.
Norman Joseph DeBruine was best man.
Groomsmen were Christopher DeCant, James DeCant and Brent DeCant, cousins of the groom, and Michael Sugg, brother of the bride.
Samantha Sugg was flower girl. Jonathon Sugg was the ringbearer.
Diane DeCant, Joan Zsigrai and Ann Sugg were Scripture readers.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a reception in the crystal ballroom at Dusseau’s Hall in Temperance.
After their wedding trip to Mexico, the couple will reside in Toledo.
Events held before the wedding included a shower in April hosted by the bride’s and friends.
The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Fritz and Alfrado’s in Toledo.
