LAGRANGE — Laura Beth Jones and James L “Jamie” Daughety IV of Kinston exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 12 at 4 p.m. at LaGrange First Free Will Baptist Church, with the Rev. Ronnie V. Hobgood officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Jimmy Jones Jr. and Bethany L. Jones of La Grange and the granddaughter of Jimmy Jones Sr., Peggy S. Jones, James N Leneave Jr. and Leona V. Leneave of LaGrange.

She graduated from Eastern Wayne High School in 2004 and Pitt Community College School of Nursing in 2009. She is employed as a registered nurse at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James L “Buddy” Daughety III and Gail Rouse of La Grange and the grandson of Robert Hafele, the late Shirley Hafele, Evelyne Rouse and the late Gordon “Monk” Rouse of LaGrange.

He graduated from North Lenoir High School in 1997 and attended Lenoir Community College for computer programming. He is employed as manager at Falling Creek Service Center.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a strapless gown with a sweetheart neckline. The bodice was embroidered and beaded with Swarovski crystals. The satin skirt featured pickups that continued throughout the cathedral train.

Her headpiece was a fingertip veil adorned with Swarovski crystals.

The bride carried a clutch bouquet of stargazer and pink miniature calla lilies, orange, yellow and dark pink roses, pink caspia and ruscus wrapped with a watermelon ribbon.

Emily J. Daniels was her sister’s matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Rhonda Daughety, sister-in-law of the groom; Ashley Everett and Donna Mitchell, friends of the couple; Dawn Jones, sister of the groom; and Britni Tildsley, cousin of the bride.

James L. “Buddy” Daughety III was his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were Carter Daniels, brother-in-law of the bride; Craig Daughety, brother of the groom; Robert Earl Everett, friend of the couple; Alex Ferrell, cousin of the bride; Scott Jones, brother-in-law of the groom; and Joey Price, cousin of the groom.

Ushers were Jake Leneave and Michael Tildsley, cousins of the bride, and John Roberts, cousin of the groom.

Mackenzie Daughety, niece of the groom, was flower girl.

Christine Parrish directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Kendi Davis, cousin of the bride. Kari Mewborn, cousin of the bride, distributed the programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Mitzi Hobgood, pianist; Marian Kennedy, vocalist; Cleo Hinson, organist; and Jordan Rouse, vocalist and guitarist.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at Walnut Creek Country Club.

After their wedding trip to Nassau, Bahamas, the couple will reside in Kinston.

Events held before the wedding included a Christmas shower Dec. 12 at the Eason home hosted by Teresa Eason and Beckie Tildsley, aunts of the bride, and Kendi Davis, Kari Mewborn and Britni Tildsley, cousins of the bride; a lingerie shower Feb. 27 at the Daniels home hosted by Emily Daniels, sister of the bride; a dinner and wedding shower March 27 at the home of Geraldine Medlin hosted by Ms. Medlin and Joan Ellis; a bridal shower luncheon April 10 at LaGrange First Free Will Baptist hosted by Christine Parrish, Donna Mitchell, Kendi Davis and Teresa Eason; a miscellaneous shower April 11 at Trinity United Methodist Church hosted by Allyson Price, Kaye Daughety, Rhonda Daughety, Dawn Jones, Jane Lee and Meriam Goodwin, family of the groom; a bachelorette weekend May 1 in Emerald Isle hosted by Emily Daniels and Donna Mitchell; a pig picking May 8 at LaGrange First Free Will Baptist hosted by Jimmy and Peggy Jones and James and Leona Leneave, grandparents of the bride; a garden party May 22 at the home of Ernie and Judy White hosted by Judy White and Allyson Price; a pantry shower June 1 at the home of Deborah Rouse hosted by Ms. Rouse, aunt of the groom, and Mindy Rouse, cousin of the groom; a bridesmaids’ luncheon June 5 at Walnut Creek Country Club hosted by Betty Holloway, friend of the bride; and an engagement party at Falling Creek Country Club hosted by the bride’s parents and grandparents.

The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner and dance at Falling Creek Country Club.
