Ashlie Cox of Goldsboro and Freddie Antonio Tann Jr. exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony May 23 at 4 p.m. at Herman Park Gazebo, with the Rev. Joe Barnes officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Lawrence Ray “Bo” Cox Jr. of Goldsboro and Melody Rene’ Hinnant Williams of Dudley and the granddaughter of Lawrence Ray Cox, Shirly Cox Peacock, Jeffrey Hinnant and Lillie Mae Winn Lofton of Goldsboro.

The groom is the son of Freddie Alton and Elva “Boot” Tann of Goldsboro and the grandson of Beulah Bummer of LaGrange and the late Eddie Winn and Lucy Dixon of Kinston.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

Shonda Dixon was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Crystal Crawford, Rosilyn Smith, Camesha Brown, Nichole Soto, Shontell Barnes and Dominique Worrells.

Makail Gains was best man.

Groomsmen were Ike Gains, Kenyata Applewhite, Dominique Cox, Corey Best, Alton Dixon, Meco Simpler and Corey Soto.

Niasia Coley was flower girl. Keiraun Tann was ringbearer.

Karrisa Brown distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Karrena, vocalist.

Following the wedding, a reception was held at The National Guard Armory.

After their wedding trip to the Bahamas, the couple will reside in Goldsboro.

Events held before the wedding included a bachelorette party hosted by the bride’s mother and a bachelor party hosted by Ira Woodard.

Rosilynn Smith hosted a rehearsal dinner.
