Robson - Dixon
PRINCETON — Ashley Paige Dixon and Gary Lee Robson Jr. of Princeton exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony April 10 at 4 p.m. at Whitley Church, with pastor Farrell Hardison officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Wayne and Hannah Dixon of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of the late Melvin Dixon and Lena Thompson Dixon of Princeton and Joseph and LutaBelle Lawrence of Goldsboro.
She is a graduate of Rosewood High School and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a bachelor’s degree in social work. She is employed as a school social worker for Wayne County Public Schools at Goldsboro High, Dillard Middle and Wayne School of Engineering.
The groom is the son of Gary and Debra Robson of Cape May Court House, N.J., and the grandson of Jean Robson and the late Bud Robson of Cape May, N.J., and John and Betty Sherman of Cape May Court House.
He graduated from Williamson School of Mechanical Trades in Pennsylvania. He is employed at the Lee Plant for Progress Energy.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a fitted strapless gown with beading and a small fluted train.
The bride carried a clutch bouquet of white and lavender roses, pink tulips and green berries wrapped in white satin ribbon with lavender beading.
Tracey Holland was her sister’s maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Kristy Branthem, Erin Heitzmann and Alicia Stevens.
Christopher Robson was best man.
Groomsmen were Matthew Halbruner, Tray Bridgers and Zeb Saunders.
Matthew Dixon, brother of the bride, was the usher.
Emily Robson and Savannah Bogue were junior bridesmaids.
Briella Heitzmann was flower girl. Kearney Collins was ringbearer.
Tina Kornegay directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Kelly Head. Stephanie Lutz distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Jane Shadduck, vocalist.
Following the ceremony, a dinner and dance reception was held at Hinnant Family Vineyards of Pine Level. Cake cutters were Georgia Lavarreda, aunt of the bride, and Monica Sacchetti, aunt of the groom.
After their wedding trip to Mexico, the couple will reside in Princeton.
Events held before the wedding included a family bridal shower March 7 at the home of Georgia Lavarreda hosted by Mrs. Lavarreda and Nona Wilson, aunts of the bride; a Pampered Chef shower March 13 at Whitley Church hosted by Kelly Head, Stephanie Lutz and Emily Bailey, friends of the bride; a bachelorette party March 27 at the home of Jennifer Collins in Rosewood and dinner at Cafe Luna in Raleigh hosted by Ms. Collins.
The groom’s parents hosted a pig picking at the home of the groom.
