Rachel Lauren Jones of Goldsboro and Kyle Butler Lancaster of Goldsboro exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony May 15 at 6 p.m. at Walnut Creek Country Club, with Kelvin Gurley officiating.

The bride is the daughter of E.C. Jones of Newton Grove and Phyllis Lewis of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Chester and Teresa Jones of Newton Grove, the late Graham Lewis of LaGrange and the late Joan Price of Goldsboro.

She is a 2006 graduate of Spring Creek High School and a 2009 graduate of Wayne Community College with an associate degree in nursing. She is employed as a registered nurse at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

The groom is the son of Dan and Rita Lancaster of Goldsboro and the grandson of Barbara Ann Lancaster and the late Henry Daniel Lancaster of Pikeville and Cedric and Dedamae Sullivan of Goldsboro.

He is a 2003 graduate of Rosewood High School and a 2006 graduate of Wayne Community College with an associate degree in turfgrass management. He is employed as superintendent at Cardinal Country Club.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore an A-line gown featuring an asymmetrical ruched bodice with beadwork and embroidery at the waist. The skirt was accented with inverted pleats down the front of the gown and was completed with buttons flowing down the back into a semi-cathedral-length train.

Joy Herring was her sister’s matron of honor, while Heather Jones was her sister’s maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Kelly Jones, sister of the groom, and Sarah Prescott, cousin of the bride.

Dan Lancaster was his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were Daniel Lancaster, brother of the groom; Chris Jones, brother-in-law of the groom; and Will Hester, friend of the groom.

Hannah Jones, niece of the groom, was flower girl. Dan and Sid Lancaster, nephews of the groom, were ringbearers.

Susan Spangler directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Nikki Newlin. Katlyn Bradford distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Jason Cox, pianist and vocalist, and also Jaime Cox, vocalist.

Following the ceremony, a dinner and dance reception was held at Walnut Creek Country Club.

After their wedding trip to cruise to the eastern Caribbean, the couple will reside in Pikeville.

Events held before the wedding included a bridal shower March 28 at the home of Kelly Jones hosted by family; a bridesmaids’ luncheon April 24 at Murphy’s Place hosted by family friends; a bachelorette party April 24 hosted by the bridesmaids; and a bachelor party April 24 hosted by the groomsmen.

The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Walnut Creek Country Club.
