Mrs. Kelly

Jamie Ellen Pike and Alan Graham Kelly exchanged vows May 15 at 4 p.m. at Saint Paul’s United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Madison Hankal and the Rev. James Harry officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James David Pike III of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James David Pike Jr. of Goldsboro and the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Pappas of Alamogordo, N.M.

She graduated from Meredith College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in social work. She was presented at the 2002 Terpsichorean Ball in Raleigh. She is employed as a social worker at the Brian Center.

The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Iain Douglas Kelly of Raleigh and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Kelly of Clydebank, Scotland, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mann Jenkins of Glasgow, Scotland.

He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a Master’s of Science degree in accountancy. HE is employed as an audit associate with KPMG in Raleigh.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a fit-to-flare gown of ivory silk shantung with kiss pleats.

Her headpiece was her mother’s lace mantilla.

Crystal Pike Malpass and Laura Pike Deprill were their sister’s matrons of honor. Catherine Alison Horton was maid of honor.

The bride’s attendants were Dr. Mildred Pelletier Warren, cousin, and Christeanna Winslow Ferguson, Robin Lear Peacock and Haley Van Lauren Peacock, friends.

Dr. Iain Douglas Kelly was his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were Dr. Douglas Craig Kelly, brother of the groom, and Matthew Brian Edwards, Jeremy John Cohrs, Adam Howard Grady, Marc Chadwick Frye, Peter Daniel McDonnell Jr., Steven Donald Low and Christopher Eric Johnson (in absentia), friends.

Ushers and program attendants were John Maxwell Pike Jr., Arthur Ross Wilson III, James David Wilson, Hannah Elizabeth Grantham and Caitlin Ann Pike, cousins of the bride.

Isabelle Palley Blank was the junior bridesmaid.

Gracen Hayes Malpass, Ava Pike Malpass and Madeline Ruth Deprill, nieces of the bride, were flower girls. Carl Edwin Malpass III and Braden Michael Deprill, nephews of the bride, were ringbearers.

Denise Garcia Barnett was the reader.

Jane Walston directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Julie Whitesell Hall and Jennifer Michelle Dzurovcin.

A program of wedding music was provided by Alice Campbell, organist; Laura Pike Deprill, vocalist; Andrew Simpson, bagpiper; and James Old, trumpeter.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at Goldsboro Country Club. Marlee Ray and Stephanie Ross greeted the guests.

After their wedding trip, the couple will reside in Raleigh.

Events held before the wedding included friends and relatives entertaining in Goldsboro, Raleigh and Harker’s Island.

The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner and party May 14 at Walnut Creek Country Club.
