Mrs. Stoppa

Charlotte Durbin Crain and Troy Daniel Stoppa of Spokane, Wash., exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony March 27 at 2 p.m. in the garden of St. Paul United Methodist Church, with the Rev. James H. Harry officiating.

The bride is the daughter of John Alden and Milly Rains Crain of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Duran Rains of Morehead City and the late Mr. and Mrs. John A. Crain Sr.

She is a 2005 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology. She is employed as an assistant manager with Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Spokane.

The groom is the son of Terry Lee and Kathryn Hartman Stoppa of Havre, Mont., and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Stoppa and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Hartman of Alpena, Mich.

He graduated from Gonzaga University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration. He is employed as a sales representative for Sherwin Williams Paint Co.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore an ivory chiffon split-front A-line gown with a pleated surplice bodice, a beaded empire waist and a sweep train.

The bride carried a bouquet of blue hydrangeas and yellow and whit roses.

Sara Lynn Bunting was her friends maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Virginia Jo Sutton and Hannah Moore Hales.

Timothy Stoppa was his brother’s best man.

Groomsmen were Sean Burt and Mark Millers.

Ushers were Andrew Crain and Christopher Smart.

Mattiah and Tahlia Murillo, nieces of the groom, were flower girls.

Presiding at the register and distributing program was Cassie Miller.

A program of wedding music was provided by Kellie Brown and Mark Paschal.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at Walnut Creek Country Club.

After their wedding trip to Nashville, Tenn., the couple will reside in Spokane.

Events held before the wedding included a miscellaneous shower Jan. 16 in Greenville at the home of Lindsey Bruton hosted by Ms. Bruton and Jamie Grubb; a bachelor party March 13 in Coeur d’Alene, Mont., hosted by friends; a bachelorette party March 24 in Myrtle Beach, S.C., hosted by Sara Bunting; and a bridesmaids’ luncheon March 26 at the Moore home hosted by Susan Moore and Hannah Moore Hales.

The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner March 26 at Lane Tree Country Club followed by a desert and coffee party at the Crain home hosted by Mr. and Mrs. John Metz and family and Mr. and Mrs. George Cogdell and family.
