Cleopatra Da’nean Jones and Sherwood La’von Core of Goldsboro exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Dec. 31 at noon at the justice of the peace office.
The bride is the daughter of Walter and Anna Sutton of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of the late Walter Sutton Sr. and Dorthy Sutton Sights of Philadelphia, Pa., and the late Addie Jones Leach of Mount Olive.
She is employed as secretary at All Souls Mine Ministry.
The groom is the son of the late Elouise Lassiter of Pikeville and the grandson of the late Evon Lassiter Sr. and the late Rosalee Lassiter of Pikeville.
He is employed as a bricklayer at Neals Construction.
The bride was escorted by her father.
Clorrettia Thomas was matron of honor.
Kenneth Core was best man.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held.
The couple will take a wedding trip to California.
