KINSTON — Whitney Ann Carraway of Walstonburg and Albert Amos “Trey” Mitchell III of Comfort exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Oct. 3 at 5 p.m. at Frenchman’s Creek, with Dave Mercer officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Lonnie Wayne Carraway Sr. and Cheryl Taylor Carraway of Walstonburg and the granddaughter of the late William Wayne and Catherine Heath Carraway of Snow Hill and the late Marvin Justice and Nancy Scott Taylor of Stantonsburg.

She graduated from Greene Central High School in 2000, East Carolina University in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree and Tufts School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Mass., in 2009 with a Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree. She is employed as dentist at the office of Dr. Cheryl T Carraway in Snow Hill.

The groom is the son of Albert Amos Mitchell Jr. and Gail Philyaw Mitchell of Comfort and the grandson of the late Albert Amos Mitchell Sr., Pearl Carter Mitchell and the late Leroy and Frances Hill Philyaw of Comfort.

He is a 1993 graduate of Richlands High School and Craven Community College in 1997 with an associate degree. He is employed as a quality supervisor at BSH Home Appliances in New Bern.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

Taylor Nicole Carraway was her sister’s maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Alana Elizabeth Bagley, Lauren Cutrell West, Lisa Adams Padgett and Erica Noel Rhodes, friends of bride.

Albert A. Mitchell Jr. was his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were Jeffrey Scott Mitchell, brother of groom; Lonnie “Layne” Carraway Jr. brother of bride; and Joel Nathan Metts and Joshua Keith Metts, friends of groom.

Jeny Martin-Congleton directed the wedding.

After their wedding trip to Negril, Jamaica, the couple will reside in Trenton.
