Leah Rose Quinn of Greenville and Erik James Lovett of Goldsboro exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Nov. 21 at 5 p.m. at First Pentecostal Holiness Church, with the Rev. Bill Rose officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Jeffrey and Kelly Quinn of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of James E. Grantham, the late Mary Lou Grantham and Ernest and Vernell Quinn of Goldsboro.

She is a 2005 graduate of Charles B. Aycock High School and a 2009 magna cum laude graduate of East Carolina University with a degree in nursing. She is employed as a nurse at Pitt Memorial Hospital.

The groom is the son of Jimmy and Millie Lovett of Goldsboro and the grandson of the late Wilbert King and Marie King of Richmond, Va., and Clara Cannon of Goldsboro.

He is a 2003 graduate of Southern Wayne High School and a 2008 graduate of Mount Olive College, where he was a member of the 2008 world championship baseball team. He attended Louisburg College. He is employed as a teacher with Pitt County Schools.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a strapless sweetheart neckline diamond white gown with asymmetrical gathers on the bodice and skirt and a beaded dropped waist. It had a chapel train.

The bride carried a colonial bouquet of white miniature calla lilies, white roses and white hydrangeas interspersed with Italian ruscus. The stems were adorned with rose-covered satin ribbon.

Hadley Peacock was her friend’s maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Shirlanne Caplinger, friend of the bride, and Hannah Grantham and Emilee Quinn, cousins of the bride.

Jimmy Lovett was his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were Jason Sherrer and Josh Carter, friends of the groom, and Jordan Quinn, brother of the bride.

Hope Jones, niece of the groom, was the junior bridesmaid.

Maggie Grace Jones, niece of the groom, was flower girl.

Brian Taylor, friend of the family, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Colby Kicia, friend of the couple. Brandy Marriner, cousin of the bride, distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Walton and Robin Aycock, Jeane Anderson, Luke Forehand and Carolyn Castania, cousins of the bride.

Following the ceremony, a dance reception was held at Lane Tree Golf Club. Wendy Pittman, friend of the family, was director. Marty and Missy Shaw, cousins of the groom, greeted guests. Kim Grantham, Donna Quinn and Dana Simonetti, aunts of the bride, and Denise Ruffin, friend of the family, served the wedding cake and poured punch.

After their wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple will reside in Greenville.

Events held before the wedding included a miscellaneous shower Sept. 27 hosted by Kim Grantham, Laverle Batten, Edna Jones and Betsy Jones; aunts of the bride; a dinner and shower Oct. 10 hosted by Jim and Gina Maxwell and Jane Jeffreys, friends of the bride; a Christmas shower Nov. 8 hosted by Rachael Jones, sister of the groom, and Ann Shaw, aunt of the groom; a bachelorette weekend Nov. 14 in Charleston, S.C.; a bachelor weekend Nov. 14 in Myrtle Beach, S.C.; a bridesmaids luncheon Nov. 20 at the home of Donna Pike hosted by Ms. Pike, friend of the family, and Hannah Grantham, cousin of the bride; and a brunch Nov. 21 at Walnut Creek Country Club hosted by Donna Quinn and Dana Simonetti, aunts of the bride, and Vernell Quinn, grandmother of the bride.

The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner Nov. 20 in the church fellowship Hall.
