Lindsay Dawn Sutton and Jacob Ray Gregory exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Oct. 17 at 5 p.m. at Faison Baptist Church.

The bride is the daughter of Billy and Martha Sutton of Mount Olive and the granddaughter of Mabel Sutton and the late Earl Sutton of Mount Olive and Frankie Andrews and the late Lowell Andrews of Calypso.

She is a 2004 honor graduate of North Duplin High School, a 2008 graduate of Johnston Community College with an associate degree in radiology and a 2008 graduate of Edgecombe Community College with a certificate in computed tomography. She is employed at Immediate Care of Goldsboro.

The groom is the son of Danny and Rosemary Gregory of Magnolia and the grandson of Dorothy Gregory and the late Clayton Gregory of Oxford, Miss., and Edith Boyce and the late James Boyce of Warsaw.

He is a 1998 graduate of James Kenan High School. He is employed with Murphy Brown Inc.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a strapless ivory gown with diamond beadwork along the front and back bodice and hemline. A multi-pleat back flowed into a semi-cathedral train adorned with flower and swirl motifs of diamond beadwork.

Her headpiece was a tiara of diamond clusters with a two-tiered waist-length veil adorned with teardrop diamonds.

The bride carried a bouquet of rusty calla lilies adorned with green leaves and ivory roses.

Amanda Buckner was her sister’s matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Tanya Strickland, sister of the groom, and Ashley Pate and April Tillman, cousins of the bride.

Danny Gregory was his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were Johnson Scholar, Joey Ezzell and Billy Sidbury, friends of the groom.

Kellie Witherington, cousin of the bride, and Vickie Sutton, aunt of the bride, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Lori Tillman, aunt of the bride. Christen Davis and Blair Kennedy, friends of the bride, distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Lynn Carole Sutton, cousin of the bride, and Joe Foss.

Following the ceremony, a reception as held at Southern Wayne Country Club.

After their wedding trip to Antigua, West Indies, the couple will reside in Mount Olive.

Events held before the wedding included a shower Sept. 13 hosted by the bride’s family; a shower Sept. 20 hosted by the groom’s mother and sister; and a lingerie shower Oct. 9 hosted by cousins of the bride.

The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal diner Oct. 16 at Southern Wayne Country Club.
