RALEIGH — Jennifer Laura Knutson of Morrisville and Justin Hayes Gerber of Morrisville exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Sept. 26 at 5 p.m. at Brier Creek Country Club, with the Rev. William Ordelt Jr. officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Thomas Knutson of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Jo Knutson and the late Marvin Knutson of New Ulm, Minn., and Gerald and Harriet Robasse of Goldsboro.

She is a 2003 graduate of Wayne Country Day School and a 2008 graduate of North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in parks, recreation and tourism management.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gerber of Greensboro and the grandson of Doris Chestnutt and the late Robert Chestnutt of Warsaw.

He is a 2002 graduate of Northwest Guilford High School and a 2007 graduate of North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in business with a concentration in marketing.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a strapless light ivory gown with a modified sweetheart neckline. It had a trumpet-style skirt and a chapel-length train. Silver embroidery adorned the bodice, skirt and train.

The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of Gerber daisies, red dahlias, green cymbidium, green mini hydrangeas, mango calla lilies and hypericum.

Amanda Knutson and Stephanie Knutson were their sister’s maids of honor.

Bridesmaids were Sarah Whitley, Susan Hoke, Danielle Ackerman and Jillian DeCamp.

Joel Gerber was his brother’s best man.

Groomsmen were Scott Gerber, Greg Smith, Crosby Savage, Matthew Seaman and Michael Knutson.

Following the ceremony, a cocktail, dinner and dance reception was held at Brier Creek Country Club.

Events held before the wedding included a bridal shower May 16 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church hosted by Linda Owen, Miriam Wessell and Sue Peacock; a bachelor party the weekend of May 23 hosted by the groom’s friends; a bridal shower June 20 hosted by Danielle Ackerman and Jillian DeCamp; a bachelorette party and a bridal shower the weekend of July 11; and a bridesmaids’ tea Sept. 25 at Washington Duke Inn.

A post-wedding brunch was held Sept. 27 at Brier Creek Country Club.

The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner Sept. 25 at Maggiano's Italian restaurant.
