WARSAW — Ashley Marie Wigginton of Calypso and William David Christopher Hennessee of Calypso exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Oct. 24 at 4 p.m. at the Country Squire, with the Rev. Geoffrey Carter officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Paul Richard Wigginton Jr. of Columbus, Ohio, and Sandra Lee Facello of Calypso and the granddaughter of the late Paul Wigginton of Louisville, Ohio, Clarabelle Wigginton of Columbus and Ronald and Shirley Winchell of Mission, Texas.

She is an honor graduate of North Duplin High School and an honor graduate of Penn Foster College with an associate degree in animal science/veterinary assisting. She is a certified canine massage therapist, pet groomer and a dog obedience trainer.

The groom is the son of the late David Wayne Hennessee of Warsaw and the grandson of William “Bill” and Bobbie Hennessee of Faison and Donny and Ethel Garner of Mount Olive.

The groom is a graduate of North Duplin High School and Penn Foster College with a degree in diesel mechanics. He is employed as a truck driver with Burch Farms of Faison.

The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her mother.

She wore a strapless ivory gown with a fit-and-flare silhouette. The bodice was covered with beaded pearls and crystal lace over satin. The lace of the semi-cathedral train extended beyond the satin line in the back.

Her headpiece was a chapel-length veil of silk illusion toile and crystals.

The bride carried a cascading bouquet of red roses, fire orange calla lilies, sunflowers and tiger lilies with a sparkle of crystal sprays along with a handkerchief that had belonged to her maternal grandmother.

Jaimie Lee Niemond was her friend’s matron of honor.

Tony Hennessee was his brother’s best man.

Ushers were Brooks Tucker and William Tucker, cousins of the groom.

Harley Hennessee, the couples Yorkshire Terrier, was ringbearer.

Tracey Gregory directed the wedding. Presiding at the register and distributing programs was Macy Walker, cousin of the groom.

Jean McNeill, friend of the bride’s family, was wedding coordinator.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s mother hosted a dinner and dance reception at the Jester’s Court at the Country Squire.

After their wedding trip to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla., the couple will reside in Calypso.

Events held before the wedding included a Pampered Chef shower May 9 hosted by Jean McNeill; a pig picking May 16 hosted by the groom’s grandparents, Bill and Bobbie Hennessee; a bridal shower June 20 hosted by Jaimie and Lisa Niemond; a bachelorette weekend June 26-28 in Myrtle Beach, S.C., hosted by the bride’s mother, Jean McNeill and Jaimie Niemond; and a bridal luncheon Oct. 18 at the Village Steakhouse hosted by Tracey Gregory.

The groom’s grandparents hosted a rehearsal dinner Oct. 23 at The Mad Boar Restaurant in Wallace.
