WILSON — April Marie Cook of Lucama and James Lee Mayo of Lucama exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 20 at 3 p.m. at Milbournie Free Will Baptist, with Melvin Whittington officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Tony Dwayne and Rose Cook Howard of Wilson and the granddaughter of William Bill Cook of Bailey and the late Lynda Faye Eubanks of Wilson.

The groom is the son of Abel and Linda Diane Tamez of Wilson and the grandson of the late Ernestine Carey of Wilson.

The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her father.

Her headpiece was a pearl tiara.

Ashley Hare was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Ina Ranhawa and Sara Beth Howard.

Abel Tamez Jr. was best man.

Groomsmen were Chris Gay and Jonathan Manning.

Ushers were Alex Howard and Matthew Lamm.

Lacey Norris was the junior bridesmaid.

Abbi Norris was flower girl. Hunter Norris and Alexander Lowery were ringbearers.

Lynda Sue Lamm directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Joy Rollins. Lacey Norris distributed programs.

Special helpers were Vicki Brock and Rose Howard.

A program of wedding music was provided by Jonathan Lamm, pianist, and Jonathan Lamm, Josh Williams and Bryan Lamm, vocalists.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception.

The couple resides in Lucama.

A rehearsal was held in the church fellowship building.
