Braswell-Maltba
Chassady Renee Maltba of Clayton and David Jarrett Braswell exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Aug. 21 at 7 p.m. at Rosewood First Baptist Church, with Vernon Braswell officiating.
The bride is the daughter of James Ronald Maltba of Wilmington and Teresa Annette Maltba of Selma and the granddaughter of Wayne and Brenda Cameron of Wilmington and Ronell Denton of Clayton.
She graduated from Broughton High School in 2004. She is employed as a caretaker.
The groom is the son of David Leslie and Donna Perkins Braswell of Goldsboro and the grandson of Henry and Carolyn Braswell, Virgina Perkins and the late Walter James Perkins Jr. of Goldsboro.
He graduated from Rosewood High School in 2004. He is employed by the city of Goldsboro with water maintenance
The bride was escorted by Henry Braswell and her father and given in marriage by her family.
She wore an ivory satin strapless A-line gown with organza and a Basque waist with floral beading and embroidery on the bodice. It had a semi-cathedral train.
The bride carried a bouquet of ivory and pink roses.
Shannon Maltba was maid of honor.
David Braswell was best man.
Gracie Braswell, daughter of the groom, was flower girl.
Ruth Davis directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Kasie Braswell.
A program of wedding music was provided by Phyllis Gamble, pianist, and Kandis Weeks, vocalist.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church’s Braswell hall. Paula Waters served the wedding cake. Carolyn Braswell, Ruth Davis, Laverne Hales and Mary Weeks helped with the reception.
After their wedding trip to the beach, the couple will reside in Rosewood.
