Thompson-Bradshaw
Christie Lynn Bradshaw and Daniel Reed Thompson exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony July 11 at 3 p.m. at New Hope Friends Church, with the Rev. William Garner and the Rev. Jerry Mitchell officiating.
The bride is the daughter of David Thomas “Tommy” and Deahdra Hinnant Bradshaw of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Novella Mooring Bradshaw and the late David Earl Bradshaw and Ralph Edwin and Margie Jeannette Hinnant of Goldsboro.
She graduated from East Carolina University majoring in education.
The groom is the son of Harvey Lane and Terri Garner Thompson of Goldsboro and the grandson of Lucy Daniels Thompson and the late Clifton Odell Thompson Sr. of Kinston and William Duncan Garner and the late Mollie Faye Davis Garner of Goldsboro.
He graduated from East Carolina University majoring in construction management.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a formal gown of white satin with a sweetheart neckline and beaded Alencon lace appliqués around the waist and scalloped hem of the chapel-length train.
Her headpiece was a two-tiered veil of silk illusion.
The bride carried yellow roses and pink alstroemeria flowers.
Brittney Bradshaw was her sister’s maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Ashley Watson, Jeannette Carawan, Anjie McCumbee, Shannon Prasad and Emily Hathaway.
Harvey Thompson was best man.
Groomsmen were Will Hathaway, Ben Parker, Kyle Koonce, Brian Glisson and Robert Garris.
Honorary bridesmaids were Leslie Hunt and Rebeccah Floyd.
Riley Thompson, sister of the groom, was flower girl.
Gail Prasad directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Leslie Hunt. Rebeccah Floyd distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Jason Cox, pianist and vocalist, and Shannon Prasad and Jamie Cox, vocalists.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at Mount Olive College’s Murphy Center. Mr. and Mrs. William Uzzell and Mr. and Mrs. Gary Gross greeted guests.
After a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple resides in LaGrange.
Events held before the wedding included a miscellaneous shower May 17 hosted by the Friends Fellowship Sunday school class of New Hope Friends Church; a tool party June 13 at Bradshaw’s Auto and Truck hosted by the couple’s parents; a pig picking June 20 at the home of Billy Wood and Pat Uzzell, uncle and aunt of the groom, hosted by the Uzzells; a bridesmaids’ luncheon June 20 at the home of Gail Prasad hosted by Mincie Carawan and Lisa Watson; a miscellaneous shower June 27 at the home of David and Jody Parker hosted by Jody and Molly Parker; and a lingerie shower June 27 at the home of the bride hosted by Brittney Bradshaw, sister of the bride, and Azure Smith, friend of the bride.
The groom’s parents and Bill Garner, grandfather of the groom, hosted a rehearsal dinner at Walnut Creek Country Club.
