Brittan Elizabeth Wheeler of Greenville and Cameron R. Bibb exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony May 16 at 10 a.m. at Pine Forest United Methodist Church, with Billy Olsen and Chad Oyer officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Stephen A. and Jeanee M. Wheeler of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of the late Ardell J. and Gertrude Wheeler and William A. and Helen Neal Merritt of Goldsboro.

She graduated from East Carolina University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science degree in nutrition and dietetics and is working on her Master of Science degree in nutrition and dietetics. She is employed as a nutritionist at the Pitt County Public Health Department.

The groom is the son of Irvin R. Bibb Jr. and Terrie White Bibb of Greenville and the grandson of Irvin R. Bibb Sr. and Jane Cornell Bibb of Little River, S.C., and Benjamin G. White Sr. and Jean McLawhorn White of Greenville.

He graduated from East Carolina University in 2008 with a degree in philosophy and a minor in psychology. He will attend Asbury Seminary in Kentucky. He is employed as a teacher’s assistant at Northwest Elementary School.

The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her father.

She wore a white strapless chiffon over satin A-line with gathered bodice and beaded lace empire with a sweep train.

Her headpiece was an elbow-length one tiered veil with scattered crystal embellishments along the edges

The bride carried a clutch bouquet of orange and yellow Gerber daisies, white stock and green hydrangea hypericum berries tied with a white ribbon.

Jessica Griffith was matron of honor, while Morgan Wheeler was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Angela Coggins, Marissa Errickson and Erin Bibb.

Kevin White was best man.

Groomsmen were Chad Foster, Kenton Dover, Rodney Hill and Kevin Wells.

Ushers were Brian Greene, Austin Bath, Jake Griffin and Sammy McMillan

Peyton Roughton and Mallory Roughton were junior bridesmaids.

Carsyn Roughton and Addison Roughton were flower girls.

Beth Carr directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Robyne Caughron and Alexis Briley. Katie Milam and Chrissy McMillan distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Dayton Vesper, pianist; Alison Ponzi, flutist; and Elizabeth Ponzi, violinist.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church fellowship hall. Sheryl Merritt, aunt of the bride, and Beverly White, aunt of the groom, cut the wedding cake.

After a wedding trip to Florida and Walt Disney World, the couple resides in Greenville.

Events held before the wedding included a bridal shower at the home of Jean White, grandmother of the groom; a bridal shower at Pine Forest Church hosted by family and friends of the bride; a bridal shower at Pitt County Health Department hosted by the nutrition division; a bachelorette weekend in Snead’s Ferry; a lingerie shower hosted by Jessica Griffith and Robyne Caughron; a bachelor night hosted by the groomsmen; a bridesmaids’ luncheon at The Legacy hosted by Seslie Roughton, aunt of the bride, and Helen Merritt, grandmother of the bride.

The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Steak Barn.
