Meredith West Ham and Joshua Glenn Harrison exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony May 23 at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church, with Marty Gurganus officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Alan Darrell and Ann Proctor Ham of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Nathan and Dorothy Ham and Richard S. Proctor Jr. and Snow Proctor of Goldsboro.

She graduated in 2006 from Southern Wayne High School and attends Mount Olive College majoring in business management.

The groom is the son of Glenn Ray and Patricia Denton Harrison of Wake Forest and the grandson of Lester and Jean Harrison and Douglas and Joan Denton of Wake Forest.

He graduated in 2003 from Wake Forest-Rolesville High School and Mount Olive College in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in business management. He was a member of the 2008 Mount Olive College national championship baseball team. He is employed in the family business doing commercial glass work.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a white silk satin gown with beadwork on the plunging V-neckline bodice that was embellished with Swarovski crystals and clear sequins. The back of the gown had a deep V that flowed into a semi-cathedral-length train accented with matching silk satin-covered buttons and -beadwork.

Her headpiece was a one-tiered fingertip veil with cascading crystals.

The bride carried white roses accented with stargazer lilies and Gerber daisies.

Paige Elizabeth Ham was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Erin Grantham, Nikki Goins and Colby Mangum, friends of the bride; Meredith Best, cousin of the bride; and Jessica Eason, sister of the groom.

Glenn Ray Harrison was best man.

Groomsmen were Anthony Williams, Michael Kicia, Scott Faison and Nick Post, friends of the groom, and Dwayne Eason, brother-in-law of the groom.

Makayla Eason was the junior bridesmaid. Garrett Hood, friend of the bride, was the junior groomsman.

Emma Proctor, cousin of the bride, and Makensie Eason, niece of the groom, were flower girls. Kyle Eason, nephew of the groom, was ringbearer.

Connie Jones and Laurie Smith directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Taylor Hood. Marijo and Madison Mendyk distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Dr. Alan Armstrong, pianist and organist, and Whitney Nicole Grantham, vocalist.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church fellowship hall.

After a wedding trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica, the couple resides in Wake Forest.

Events held before the wedding included a pantry shower March 19 at the home of the groom’s family hosted by the family; a bridal shower April 19 at Rhodes Friends Church hosted by family and friends; a garden shower May 2 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Ham, uncle and aunt of the bride, hosted by the Hams; a bachelorette trip May 9 in Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and a pool party May 16 at the home of the bride’s parents.

A rehearsal dinner was held at Pupetta’s.
