LUCAMA — Ashley Diane Langley and Patrick Curtis Etheridge exchanged vows in a single-ring ceremony May 16 at 5 p.m. at Little Rock Original Free Will Baptist Church, with the Rev. De Wayne Eakes officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Delmer Eugene Langley of Kenly and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Robert Kennedy Jr., Rachel Langley and the late Eugene Langley of Kenly.

She is a graduate of Hunt High School and Pitt Community College with an occupational therapy assistant degree. She is employed as a certified occupational therapist assistant at Thera-Peds Inc.

The groom is the son of Rebecca Hare Etheridge and the late Robert G. Etheridge of Wilson and the grandson of the late Robert G. and Mae Lillie Etheridge of Wilson and Dale Mayo Hare and the late Pat Hare of Kenly.

He is a graduate of Hunt High School, Nash Community College with a physical therapy assistant degree and East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science degree in health service management. He is employed by Wayne Memorial Hospital and Thera-Peds Inc.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a formal gown of diamond white satin with a strapless neckline. The fitted bodice was embellished with bugle beads, pearls and sequins with a dropped waistline. The A-line skirt was beaded and enhanced with box pleating in the back and cascaded into a semi-cathedral train beaded with embroidery designs blanketing the gown.

Her headpiece was a one-tiered veil of silk illusion with a scallop of crystal beading.

Jade Meryl Elliott was matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Melissa Langley Ballance, Lauren Regene Langley and Lana Patrice Etheridge.

Christopher Neal Johnson was best man.

Groomsmen were Peter Wallance Bridgers and Justin Allen Ballance.

Ushers were Mr. Christopher Keith Langley and Mr. Timothy Mark Kennedy.

Chezney Jordan Langley and Logan Kennedy Ballance were flower girls.

Jacob Conner Creech was ringbearer.

Dianne Kirby Wheeler and Cynthia Kennedy Harris directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Mr. and Mrs. Blair Chandler Ethridge. Savannah Blair Ethridge distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Nicole Davis Hunt, pianist; Dennis Keith Williams and Emily Anne Jordan, vocalists; Sally Tant Davis, organist; and Jim Bradshaw, trumpeter.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at their home. Gywnn Butterfield was director.

After a wedding trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the couple will reside in Kenly.

Events held before the wedding included a couple’s shower March 28 at Little Rock Church hosted by friends and family; a bridal shower April 4 at the home of Marj Pate hosted by Ms. Pate; a lingerie shower April 25 hosted by the bridesmaids; a bridal shower May 7 at Wayne Memorial Rehab; a bridesmaids’ luncheon May 9 at Village Steakhouse hosted by Deborah Kennedy, Katherine Langley, Dianne Wheeler and Susan Langley; and a breakfast May 15 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Louis Kennedy Jr. hosted by the Kennedys.

The groom’s mother and Patrice Etheridge, sister of the groom, hosted a rehearsal dinner at Something Different in Wilson.
