ROBERSONVILLE — Carrie Lee Kearney and Anthony Eugene Allen of Robersonville exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Aug. 9 at 5:30 p.m. at Robersonville United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Larry Bostian officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. Henry A. Kearney and Carrie W. Kearney of Robersonville and the granddaughter of the late Henry A. Kearney II and Annie W. Kearney of Windsor and the late Mr. and Mrs. Graham B. Whitted of Roxobel.

She is a 2002 graduate of Hobgood Academy Inc. and a 2007 graduate of Wayne Community College’s dental hygiene program. She is employed as a dental hygienist with Dr. Henry Kearney.

The groom is the son of Andy E. and Jeannie J. Allen of Goldsboro and the grandson of Walter E. and Jasa H. Allen of Greenville, Marjorie S. Forbes and the late Kit C. Forbes of Goldsboro and Clarence L. and Betty H. Johnson of Cleveland, Tenn.

He is a 2002 graduate of Rosewood High School and attends Pitt Community College for an architectural technology degree. He is employed at T.A. Loving Construction Co.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a gown of white re-embroidered lace. The bodice featured a scalloped strapless neckline and flowed into a trumpet skirt. The hemline and chapel-length train had a matching scalloped trim.

The bride carried a bouquet of blue hydrangeas and white roses wrapped in white satin.

Liz Kearney of Greenville was her sister’s maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Amy Lintner of Princeton, sister of the groom, and Andrea Cobb of Chapel Hill, Christina Harrell and Jessica Holloman of Raleigh, Miriam James of Scotland Neck, Megan Langston of Charlotte, Meredith Parnell of Williamston, Aaron Totty of Perry, Ga., and Heather Williams of Manteo, friends of the couple.

Joshua Allen of Cary was his brother’s best man.

Groomsmen were Randy Lintner of Princeton, brother-in-law of the groom; Henry Kearney of Carboro, brother of the bride; Brandon Allen, Jeremy Sasser and Justin Sasser of Goldsboro, cousins of the groom; and Justin Cannon of Oak City, Tyler Gardner, Chris Howell and Walt Render of Goldsboro, friends of the couple.

Laura Lintner of Princeton, niece of the groom, was flower girl. Jeremy Lintner of Princeton, nephew of the groom, was ringbearer.

Becky Brown and Cathy Smith directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Logan Smith. Kimberly Johnson was the bridal assistant.

A program of wedding music was provided by Jasa H. Allen, pianist.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Senator Bob Martin Agricultural Center in Williamston.

After a wedding trip to Ocracoke Island, the couple reside in Robersonville.

Events held before the wedding included a lawn and garden party and dinner Aug. 2 hosted by friends of the couple; a bridesmaids’ luncheon Aug. 2 hosted by Martha Lee Smith and Shirley Whitted; a social/pig picking July 26 hosted by friends of the couple; a recipe party July 12 hosted by friends of the bride; an around-the-clock shower June 22 hosted by friends of the bride; a bachelor party June 21 hosted by Joshua Allen; and a miscellaneous shower June 8 hosted by Jeannie Allen and Amy Lintner.

A rehearsal dinner was held at Roanoke Country Club in Williamston.
