Holman - Green
Shelby Brianne Green and Daniel Randolph Holman exchanged vows Aug. 16 at 3:30 p.m. at Wrightsville United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Robert Bauman officiating.
The bride is the daughter of retired Lt. Col. Gary O. and Julianne L. Green of Wilmington and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Owen C. Green of Goldsboro and the late Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn W. Lape.
She is a graduate of Furman University and Florida State University with a Master’s of Special Education. She is employed as a special education teacher with Nittany Valley Charter School in Pennsylvania.
The groom is the son of John and Janet Holman, Atlanta, Ga., and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Lancaster and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Holman, Sr.
He is a graduate of Appalachian State University. He is employed as the assistant men’s tennis coach at Penn State University.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore an ivory A-line embroidered gown.
The Rev. Lindsey G. Green, sister of the bride, of Woodinville, Wash., was her sister’s maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Emily Ingham of Charlotte, Laura Newmark of Charlotte, sister of the groom, Jamie Martin of Winston-Salem and Joyce Towner of Savannah, Ga.
John Randolph Holman was his son’s best man.
Groomsmen were Lee Nickell of Atlanta, William Kiser III of Wilmington, John Martin of Winston-Salem and Corey V. Green of Raleigh, brother of the bride.
Scott Newmark, nephew of the groom, was the junior groomsman. Andrew Newmark, nephew of the groom, was ringbearer.
A program of wedding music was provided by Julia Walker Jewell, pianist, and Rev. Lindsey G. Green, Corey V. Green and Jamie Martin, vocalists.
Jane Roberson directed the wedding.
Hillary Rains, cousin of the bride, was the acolyte.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Cape Fear County Club.
Following a wedding trip to St. Lucia, the couple reside in State College.
The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner Aug. 15 at Bluewater Grill.
Mr. and Mrs. Steve Newmark, hosted an after-rehearsal dinner party at Fox and Hound Pub and Grille.
