Mzyk - Penrod
HARRISONBURG, Va. — Mary Grace Virginia Penrod of Harrisonburg and Mark Soren Mzyk of Raleigh exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 28 at 1 p.m. at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, with the Rev. Philip Wiehe, the Rev. John Glover and the Rev. James Otterness officiating.
The bride is the daughter of David Penrod of Harrisonburg and Marylyn Leet-Allen of Crofton, Md., and the granddaughter of the late Claire Penrod and Margery Penrod of Washington D.C. and the late Harvey Leet and Roselyn Leet of Bethesda, Md.
She graduated from North Carolina State University with Bachelor of Arts degrees in history and psychology.
The groom is the son of retired Lt. Col. Steven and Karen Mzyk of Pikeville and the grandson of Chester and Arelene Mzyk of Falls City, Texas, and the Rev. James and Adeline Otterness of Midland, Texas.
He graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science. He is employed as a software engineer at Lulu.com.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
She wore a white, beaded lace over satin A-line gown with sheer cap sleeves, a sweetheart neckline and a chapel-length cage train.
Rebecca Malcolm was matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Amanda Wright and Laura Barker.
Philip Mzyk was best man.
Groomsmen were Thomas Ramsey and Kenneth Jennings.
After a wedding trip to St. Augustine, Fla., the couple reside in Raleigh.
